It was today when I was at church that I saw a mother with a young daughter that looked just like I did when I was her age. As I continued to look at the way that the mother kissed her child’s forehead, tied back her hair and rocked her during the sermon, I realized that my mother had gone through the exact same thing. I had never imagined the times like this that she had with me and the memories that she would have made but it made me realize that there would have been a time where she would have combed back my curly locks, washed my chubby fingers, fed me pureed apples while gazing into my little sparkly eyes with utmost adoration. It was only today that I realized that this is what it would have been like and only today that I have realized how much I have grown since then.
