Yesterday, instead of studying for my approaching Old Testament Survey exam, I decided to clean my room. I have a nice little set up: a lofted bed with a desk, microwave, and coffee maker underneath. Then I have a white wicker basket that holds my hoodies, sweat pants, and t-shirts. Everything was a mess though. I could not study with my room in such chaos! I didn't have a place for my box of food, my make up bag or anything. They have been just sitting beside my desk in front of the stand holding my microwave just taking up space. So i finally did something about it. Taking three hours out of my day yesterday, I refolded all my clothes in my basket and situated everything - including my bookcase in my desk and against the wall. Now everything has a place and my dorm looks so much more organized.
After almost two months on my own, I'm finally getting settled in. My dorm feels more like my own, I got my work study situation fixed (I wasn't getting paid; I was putting in the wrong work number :/), got all my parking tickets taken care of, and I've got most of my tests for my classes back - so now I know how everything goes. Now just to get through the next six days of intense studying and it will be fall break. Time to breathe. Halfway through the semester. Boo-ya.
