Be In the Arms of Morpheus pt. 2
A/N: IM SORRY I THINK THIS WAS KIND OF OVERDUE. this is a sequel to College Au w/ Lyney and Reader . Let me know if you want more!
pairings: Lyney x gn!reader
summary: You were studying and it was late. Lyney wakes up and invites you to sleep with him.
content/genre: fluff
warnings: none
You looked over at your phone the time read 1:52AM. You already felt a bit of fatigue but you still hadn't gone over a few parts of your notes. If you counted correctly you were on week 8 of your course, time felt like it flew by and you only just finished your typed report on developmental psychology. The report included topics such as child development, adolescent psychology, and the effects of socialization on behavior. Could you have revised it once more? Maybe there were parts that you could've added more information to increase your grade. Was it possible to change it now before you had to present it?
Suddenly, you felt a tap on your shoulder. How were you so engrossed in your thoughts that you hadn't realized his now half-awake presence. "Ly-"
Lyney spun your chair to face him. "Mmh why are you still awake?" His morning voice threw you off-guard. It was raspy but smooth like honey, you look up at him. His gaze wasn't on you but rather your notes.
"Can't you study in the morning?" You watched him rub his eyes to rid his lethargic stare in fear of looking uninterested. You hum before replying, "I couldn't sleep"
Lyney put his hands down and raised his eyebrow. "So your solution was to study?"
You nod and he sighs. "You want to sleep with me?"
You tilt your head a bit bewildered at what you heard. Silently hoping you just misunderstood. He almost immediately picked up on this and slight blush painted his face. "Not that way... unless.."
He quietly chuckles, "I think my bed is more comfortable. Of course- if you want we can switch beds or y'know.." You roll your eyes though agreeing with his comment.
"Your bed IS more comfortable" You add. Your reply didn't necessarily give him any hint if you wanted to sleep on his bed so he stood there silently waiting for another reply.
"I mean I would feel bad if I intruded your bed but thanks for the offer."
"No I insist, I'm offering anyways." He replies without hesitance.
"Well... alright." A smile is plants onto Lyney's face.
You switch off the light. The moonlight seeping through the window made his messy unbraided hair look soft. Not saying his hair wasn't soft before but it was ever so slightly... fluffy. Lyney takes your hand and it snaps you out of your little trance.
He bows dramatically ushering you to his bed. A smile plasters onto your face as you enter the covers, the warmth takes over and you face the wall. You hear shuffling and Lyney's warmth radiates. That's how close he was and he scoffs a little bit before mumbling a "Can I wrap my arms around you..?"
You nod and his arms slither around your waist pulling you closer to his chest. "Is this okay?"
A hum was formed in response. It was kind of him to make sure you were comfortable and you leaned into his touch. Your heart was beating rapidly and you thought he would tease you for how loud your heartbeat was but the more you leaned into his chest. The louder his heartbeat was as well.
Even if you were vulnerable and not fully awake you could make out the soft kisses he planted on your head. All the stress of finals lifted off of you and you fell into a slumber.

Assignment 3: Ask Me Anything outcome
In this project, I focused on how to reflect Mendini’s identity in the magazine.
As Mendini enjoyed decorative and handcrafted things, I decided to make this interview zine into decorative objects.
The die-cutting line enables readers to engage in communication with Mendini.
Each image is related to the question and answer.
1. How do you want to define yourself?
: I chose this iconic corkscrew called ‘Alessandro M’, which resembles him. I put different patterns for expressing his decorative style.
2.Why did you decide to use pointillism for Poltrona di Proust?
: This Proust chair is one of his best-known pieces. I referred to his drawing and exaggerated dot for delivering pointillism more strongly. Also, I put the image of Proust with the referring image of him. He had a strand of hair and mustache. The outline shape is based on Mendini’s other hand drawing.
3. What does collaboration mean to you?
: I chose the Groninger museum to answer. It is his representative collaborative work. Each section is designed by other designers by Mendini’s direction. If I were him, I told this story for giving clues for the answer. This part was really hard to express. I was obsessed with putting sentences on the museum illustration, but it interfered with readability. So, I just wrote down under the illustration. I found that I should not be obsessive about my preference for readers.
4. How do you think hopelessly simplified modern products?
: I used his playful lamp and coffee maker. I thought it can deliver his philosophy. It looks simple but has a refined decorative shape. It is more than simplicity.
5. Nowadays, many young designers use I-pad for drawing. Would you like to use I-pad for the next project?
: I referred purely to his drawing on these two pages. I tried to make these two pages giving a sense of his purity and passion for drawing. Also, I didn’t use any colors for these to deliver the mood for a pencil he loved.
In these projects, I could reflect his passion for creation. I want to follow his passion and enjoy creation with my background and new technology. As he did, I will enjoy my future practices!
[ Day 08 / 100 ] November 16 — Am I the only one who writes assignment outlines in third person? It’s like I’m giving myself instructions. I’ve always found that somewhat funny.
Also, I’ve been extremely busy with university these past few weeks, so even though I have been productive, I haven’t been posting much and I’m really sorry about that. Hopefully you’ll be seeing more of me (and my new, beautiful My Happy Planner, which I’m completely in love with) for the remaining four weeks of this semester.
Work of mine from high school, as final assignment for my graduation. Last supper from Leonardo da Vinci executed in wood as a relief.
