Sorry got Magnolia brain now but did you know they ran the TJ Mackey seduce and destroy ad on tv for real as promo for Magnolia without telling anyone it was promo for a film and people called the number for real and TOM CRUISE did the message on the number that people called for real and Paul Thomas Anderson used to listen to the messages people who called for real would leave and people said, amongst other things I can only try not to imagine, how disappointed they were in Tom Cruise, and that one of the people who saw this ad and called the number was Benny Safdie who tells this to Paul Thomas Anderson (to his face!!!) who said he used to love listening to the messages and like can you imagine it being 1999 and having no idea what Magnolia was (poorer times) you could be forgiven for thinking Tom Cruise was literally doing an advert for a product called ‘seduce and destroy’ and that a Director and an Actor going full mind meld used to be the most sicko to sicko communications known to man?? Did you???
