#filtch

Sighing heavily, you quietly made your way out of the dungeons. Feet taking you on their own journey, having done this trip many times before. Twisting and turning, you found yourself walking near the courtyard, on the opposite side you saw three figures running. You just barely caught glimpse of them before Filtch came rushing around.

“You again!” He sneered.

You just smiled slightly and waved, knowing that he wasn’t allowed to do anything to you. Filtch narrowed his eyes at you, going to take a step forward when another person came around.

“Professor.” You nodded respectfully.

“Miss (Y/L), out for a wonder again?” Mcgonagll sighed.

She muttered something to Filtch and he took off, Mcgonagll made her way over to you. A small smile on her face as she shook her head a little.

“What ever will we do with you Hm? Come now, Dumbledore is surely still awake, I’m sure he won’t mind the company for some tea.”

Laughing, you happily followed behind her.

A few days later and you till couldn’t figure out who it was you’d aw running through the halls. Again, you made your way out of the dungeons, numbing into Snape who had warned you to stay in due to the full moon.

Now, making your way through the usual corridor you passed the library only to stop. The door was creaked open and there was a light coming from inside. Curiousity got the best of you and you found yourself walking in. The deeper you went the brighter it got until you were stood behind three others.

“Should have known.” You mused.

Ron yelled and Hermione and Harry jumped. All spinning around with their wands raised until they noticed it was you and put them away. It wasn’t the first time you had seen them sneaking around, you just never got involved with it.

“(Y/N)?” Harry whispered.

“Well, who else?” You rolled your eyes.

They all shuffled, hiding some books behind them.

“What are you doing here?” Ron asked.

“I could ask you the same thing, it’s after curfew you know.”

“But you aren’t in bed!” He argued.

You shrugged, small smile turning into a frown as you glanced behind you. Hearing oncoming foot steps.

“Go behind the bookshelves!” You hissed.

The trio wasted no time in rushing behind them. Hermione turning to face you with a panicked look.

“Come on!” She urged.

You winked at her and turned around, stacking the books under the table and quickly grabbing one of the shelve just in time for as someone walked around the corner.

“Again!” Filtch yelled.

“Hello Filtch, What brings you by?”

“Students out of bed.” He snapped.

You laughed shortly, waving the book around.

“As you can see, it’s only me and I’m allowed out of bed.”

Filtch growled and stalked forward with a grin. You gulped and started to walk backwards

“There ain’t no one here now.”

He almost had you when another voice caused he to stop abruptly.

“I suggest, if you want to keep your job, you take a step away from miss (L/N).”

Snape! You had never been so thankful for the potions teacher to show up. Darting behind Snape you stuck your tongue out at Filtch.

“She’s out of bed!”

“As you are FULLY aware, Miss (L/N) has permission to walk about the castle after hours.”

Filtch grumbled but walked away, sending one last glare in your direction. Snape turned to face you, giving you a disapproving look but not saying anything as he too walked away.

“Okay guys.” You called once he was gone.

The trio came out from behind the bookshelf with thankful faces.

“You really saves us.” Ron smiles nervously.

“Don’t mention it, just... don’t tell anyone else about what happened. No one is supposed to know I’m allowed out.”

They nodded, and you turned around, making your way out of the library. Nearly the whole way there when someone grabbed your arm and spun you around.

“Hermione?”

“It’s because you can’t sleep isn’t it?”

You sighed and nodded, expecting some sort of stupid saying or advice from her, but instead she just hugged you quickly. Your heart sped up a bit as you hugged her back.

“Meet me tomorrow, I might be able to help.” She smiled.

“Okay... goodnight.”

Hermione waved, running back to the boys. As you left the library you couldn’t help but smile, eager for the next day to come so you could spend more time with her
