Last year, I bought a whole set of The Real Ghostbusters figures from the 90s for around $80. As a huge fan of (the first two seasons of) the series, I was obviously bothered by the lack of inclusion of the boys' signature collar colors and their weak paint job, so... since these aren't exactly the collector item figures, I took it upon myself to fix them up for my own collection!
I started with Winston since he had (in my opinion) the best facial model and expression out of the group, and I felt he would be the easiest to work with. I fixed his eyes, gave him his pearly whites, and the red accents to his jumpsuit.
Then Egon, who I was upset his hair was a different shape than in the show, but I suppose he looked enough like himself after I gave him a tan, fixed his eyes, gave some color to his lips, and added the pink accents to his jumpsuit.
The next one was Peter! I was admittedly a little worried about how his facial model would look after painting, but fixing his hairline, eyes, and eyebrows really helped. Also, of course, the green accents to his jumpsuit.
And finally, I was brave enough to attempt lovely Ray. I really didn't want to mess him up, so I saved him for last. I fixed his eyes, fixed the color of his hair and brows, and gave him the darker tan accents to his jumpsuit.
I hope I did a good job! They're now standing happily all together in my curio cabinet. ❤️🩷💚🤎
