The field spaniel is a rare English breed. It's categorized as a "Vulnerable Native Breed" by the official Kennel Club of the UK. They have a darker coat than most spaniels, which made them unpopular for hunting until the breed was reworked in the mid-20th century to have longer legs. Their tails can be docked or undocked for show.

hello hello i heard you like spaniel pictures so here are my two beloved boys they’re field spaniels. the lighter one is indy and he’s a grumpy old man (he’s almost 13) and he will steal anything that’s not nailed down (or high up since his hips don’t work so good anymore). since he was a puppy he’s always liked shoes but lately he’s taken up books, magazines, laundry, and the rare cell phone. the darker one is gus hes baby (4). he needs love and attention Always. if you’re in a chair he’ll lie down right underneath it or on top of your feet. if you sit on the ground he will climb right on top of you and sometimes he’ll put his paws on your shoulders to give you an extremely slobbery hug. he has never had a single thought.
