"You placed that sword in front of me back them, hoping Iâd pick it up and get better. It doesnât work like that and neither you will be okay right away, but we need you.â Fabian took a deep breath, his hands shaking,Â
âI need you,â He tacked on the last part because it was true. Fabian needed Gorgug to stand ground so he could dance on. He needed to know that somewhere, in the forest, Gorgug was simply lost and not running away. Not running away from him but hopefully towards, like that time, Fabian often turned and escaped to in his head. When Gorgugâs arms had securely wrapped around his shoulders and held him as tight as Fabian had. When, for the first time, he had felt safe. Â

I've been wildly oscillating between drawing or fic writing lately and this week happened to be a fic writing week đ so no new art wip this time but instead here's a lil bit from a wip affectionately titled "Fic #4" đ A Fake Dating/College/Coffee Shop AU very very very loosely based on how my husband and I got together đ (this is very early draft stuff so subject to changes in the final!!)
âAlexander babes â I need to call in that favour,â Pez is saying into his phone, and the sound of Alexâs name has Henry whipping his head around so fast he almost loses his balance. âWould you be so kind as to fake date my best friend Henry?âÂ
Henry yelps, lunging at Pez to somehow stop this insane conversation in its tracks, but Pez neatly side-steps out of the way, not looking remorseful at all when Henry almost face plants into the floor.
âPez! What the hell?!âÂ
âYes yes, Earl Grey boy,â Pez continues, completely ignoring Henry and not for the first time today, he considers the merits of strangling Pez. âWe had a bit of a situation with Hunter. You know how it is.â

Summary:Â Rose and the Doctor travel to Australia for a holiday....and so does Jack. Naturally, the results are of rather global proportions.
Notes:Â Hello, all! Guess who! It's been a very long time since I've written a random anything and I'm more than a little out of practice, I think. I've been very, very unwell for a long time and haven't had the facility to write anything, and now that I'm a bit better....I have no idea how I feel about it, hahaha. This odd little fic is based on this article https://www.gizmodo.com.au/2018/07/australia-now-has-a-giant-penis-that-can-be-seen-from-space/, because of course, that made me think of Jack. I've been wanting to write this for over a year, but it's just refused to cooperate. Now that I have written it...well, I don't know! I've no idea how to feel about it. And yes, I did write myself into that last portion, as that is a real conversation my friend and I had with a stranger when we visited this same creperie a few weeks ago (sadly, the Doctor and Rose weren't there, though)- minus the penis article in the paper. It's an amalgamation of a few things. So....yes. This fic is what resulted. I hope you enjoy it (or at least don't hate it!).
This is fic 4 in the Disco-Stick of Destiny Series.
Rose stuffed another pair of shorts into her bag. âLook, Doctor, it wonât be that bad.â
Dr. James McCrimmonâs eyes bulged. âNot that bad? Are you daft, Rose? Youâre telling me you want to take Jack Bloody Harkness to Australia for a month and it wonât be that bad? What if he starts gettinâ creative in Australian airspace, or sommat?â He folded his arms and narrowed his eyes. âHeâll start an international incident.â
âOh, come on,â she wheedled, sticking another pile of tops into the suitcase. âWhat can he get up to? He wonât have a plane or anything, and itâs not like heâs going to steal one. Even Jack wouldnât go that far. âSides, heâs booked a huge tour of the Outback, we wonât even see him after we leave Ayers Rock, not until the last week.â
âDId you really just ask what Jack Harkness could get up to?â Her husband stared. âIn a country full of beaches, no less?â
Rose momentarily paused in her packing. âWell yeah, but heâll be in the Outback for most of it and... and weâll just warn him to be on his best behaviour.â
He cynically lifted an eyebrow and Rose flushed.
âAlright, even I know that was, butâŚ.â she sighed. âCome on, Doctor, you know what heâs been like lately. Heâs been moping about since that Goddard bitch dumped âim.â She looked at him, unable to hide her worry. âHe hasnât made a single dodgy comment. He hasnât smiled. Nanaâs taken him two pies and he hasnât touched either one. He barely opens the door. I think she said something to him, something bad, I dunno what but heâs...heâs really hurtinâ.â
The Doctor sighed. âYou may be right. Asked him to come out to the pub the other night and he wouldnât come. Even told him Iâd go to that overcrowded bar he likes so much, and he wasnât having a bar of it. Doubt if heâs left his flat at all, except to go work.â
Rose sighed. âI donât think he has, anâ Wilson told me heâs just started his monthâs leave- you know, he was supposed to go with her toâŚ..well someplace starting with S, wherever it was.â She turned pleading eyes on her husband. âI think she really hurt him, anâ I just⌠I donât want him moping about by himself. This trip is the first time heâs even seemed a bit excited about anythinâ since it happened.â
Sighing heavily, the Doctor sat down. âYeah, I know. Heâs been quiet. Imagine that, Harkness, quiet! Itâs a world gone mad.â
âSo?â Rose pressed, wrapping her arms around his neck.
âSo.â The Doctor exhaled. âAlright, he can come. But Iâm warninâ you now, if he so much as paints one knob on a rock in some prehistoric cave, Iâm leavinâ him there.â
âIâll make him behave,â Rose promised, dropping a quick kiss on his lips. âPromise.â
âDonât make promises you canât keep,â he grunted, pressing his forehead against hers for a moment before pulling back. âBigger and meaner people have tried and failed. Even Winifred Bambera couldnât keep him in line half the time, and no sane man, woman or child would ever cross her.â
Sighing, he turned to pack, grumbling to himself all the while.
Rose, seeing that he was somewhat deflated made sure he saw her pull out the new, VERY itsy, bitsy, teeny, weeny bikini sheâd bought especially for the trip.Â
As sheâd expected, it caught his attention immediately.
âThatâŚ.that looks new,â the Doctor said, his voice slightly hoarse. âDonât remember seeinâ that one before.â
âIt is,â she smirked. âBought it yesterday, just for our trip. Only âs a bitâŚ.well, revealing you know, to wear in public- much smaller than my other bikinis. Thought I might return itâŚ..or maybe I might just wear it when weâre alone, lounging by our private pool on Hamilton Island.â
âA bit revealing?â The Doctor gave a choked laugh. âFunny way you have of describing a few postage stamps and a bit of string.â
Rose prowled a bit closer, holding the bikini up against her curves. âYouâre right. Maybe I should try it on here and now, while weâre at home and private. You know, just to make sure.â
The Doctorâs eyes burned. âMaybe you should.â
âMaybe I will,â she purred, edging closer, pausing a hairâs breadth away from his mouth. âNeed a hand, though. Help a girl out, Dr. McCrimmon?â
âLove to, Mrs. McCrimmon,â he growled, lips crashing to hers.
And he did.
Much, much later, Rose sighed contentedly into his chest. âI take it thatâs a yes to the bikini then.â
âDefinitely,â he mumbled, his face buried in her hair. âLong as that one is just for me.â
Rose smirked. âFantastic.â

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Northern Territory, Australia
âYou sure youâll be alright, Jack?â Rose asked worriedly, tilting her hat against the harsh sunlight.
âIâll be fine, Rosie.â   Â
âBut-â
âHonestly, Iâm ok,â he broke in, slipping an arm about her shoulders. âYou know, Iâm kinda glad you dragged me on this trip- the scenery is amazing and I needed to get away for a while. Just what the Doctor ordered.â
âIt is pretty gorgeous.â
âNot as gorgeous as you,â he smirked.
âHa,â she huffed, secretly thrilled to see him flirting again. âYou sound you like youâre on the mend.â
âYeah, guess I am. Thanks for letting me crash your trip, Rosie â he smiled, looking back at the sigh of Ayers rock, or Uluru, as it was properly known, almost shimmering in the sunlight.
âAnytime,â she said, relaxing at the sight of his smile. âYou know that.â
âAh, if only that were true,â he sighed dramatically. âYou know how I pine for you, my love-flower.â
Rose groaned, pulling her sweat-sodden hair off the back of her neck and fanning herself. âNow I know youâre ok, since youâre back to that again.â
âBack to what?â her husband asked as he loped easily up to them, handing her yet another water bottle. The heat was scorching and sheâd polished off three already. âAnd whatâs Harkness hanging off you for? Five minutes I leave you and heâs practically draped over you- I ask you!â
Rose rolled her eyes, knowing James was just as relieved as she was that Jackâs flirty nature had started to resurface. Heâd been quiet most of the way over, but during the last couple of days heâd been more like his old self and Rose thought he might be coming out of the funk heâd been in. She felt a lot more comfortable leaving him to his own devices now.
âI was just reminding Rosie of my undying devotion, Doc.â Jack broke into her thoughts.
âHmph, just you keep your paws off mâwife, thanks very much,â the Doctor grumbled, pushing Jackâs arm off her and draping his own arm around her waist.
Rose rolled her eyes.Â
Jack smirked. âWell, I am ALL about equal opportunity, so if you insist- câmere, you!â
And with that, the Doctor was pulled suddenly off her and unceremoniously into Jackâs waiting arms.
âOi! What in the bloody hell dâyou think youâre doinâ?â The Doctor demanded indignantly, shoving at Jack as the latter tried to kiss him.
âCome on, Doc, just one itty bitty kiss!â
âHave you gone barkinâ Harkness?â he sputtered, shoving madly. âGet your bloody hands off me.â Finally managing to free himself, he stalked over to Rose and stood, arms folded. âJust what dâyou you think youâre playinâ at, pawinâ at me like that and in front of Rose too!â
âSheâs welcome to join,â Jack protested and had the audacity to smirk at the Doctorâs answering growl.
Rose rolled her eyes again and took the Doctorâs arm. âAnyway,â she said pointedly, âJack was just tellinâ me he was ready to join his tour group and that heâs good to go.â
The Doctor narrowed his eyes, his temporary irritation forgotten. âYou be alright then?â He asked pointedly.
âYeah,â Jack smiled. âIâll be alright. Iâll miss you both terribly and especially at night,â he smirked at the Doctorâs growl- âbut Iâll be OK. I need the time to get out of my head,â he said more quietly. âThe wide open spaces, getting away from the cityâŚ.I need this right now.â
âWell, alright then,â the Doctor said gruffly. âSâpose thatâs that. Mind you donât go scawlinâ giant knobs in the sky or in some prehistoric cave or sommat- donât want to get a call sayinâ youâve desecrated a sacred site and been arrested.â
âI wouldnât!â Jack said indignantly. âIâd never desecrate a sacred site.â
âMind you donât! Well, our bus is waitinâ to take us to the airport, so weâd best be off.â The Doctor cleared his throat. âWeâll see you in a few weeks, Harkenss, and keep out of trouble!âÂ
Rose rolled her eyes and stepped in to hug Jack. âTake it easy, yeah? Have fun and call us if you need anythinâ.â
âThanks Rosie,â he said, squeezing her tightly. âTake care and Iâll see you in Sydney soon.â
âAnd keep out of trouble!â The Doctor added before they turned away.
âHe will,â Rose said, hoping, rather than believing, it would be true.
âChanceâd be a fine thing,â the Doctor muttered.

Four Frogs Creperie Circular Quay, Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaÂ
âHmmmm, I dunno,â Rose said, looking at the menu. âThe ham and Swiss cheese galette looks amazinâ but Iâm really wantinâ a Nutella crepe too. Sâpose I could get both, if we share.â
âSâpose,â the Doctor muttered, head buried in the newspaper. âHonestly, I donât know how anyone in this country goes swimminâ- this sharkâs bitten this blokeâs leg clean off! Heâs lucky to be alive.â
Rose shook her head. âHe wasnât swimmin- he was surfinâ. Outside the shark nets. No thanks. Iâll just stick to the nice little beaches behind the shark nets.â
âIâll say,â the Doctor muttered. âBarmy, if you ask me.â
âMeanwhile, I still dunno what to do about this crepe,â Rose said, torn between the two tasty looking options.
âThought youâd decided to get both,â he said absently, turning a page. âLook at this! Even here you canât get away from bloody Brexit. Honestly.â He shook his head in disgust. âThatâs just ruined my appetite, that has.â
âWhat if we shared the galette and I ate the Nutella by myself?â she wondered. âNah, thatâd probably be too much. Argh, honestly, I canât choose! âScuse me,â she said to the young woman at the table next to them. âI hope you donât mind my botherinâ you, but I canât make up my mind between the ham and cheese galette and the Nutella crepe. Have you been here before? Which do you recommend?â
The young woman laughed, pushing her dark hair out of her face. âMy dilemma every time I come here.â
Rose blinked. âYouâre English?â
The womanâs friend laughed. âNope, not that anyone believes her! Everybody says that.â
âSorry,â Rose cringed with embarrassment. ââS just, you sound really English.â
âItâs alright, I get that all the time,â the young woman shrugged. âDoesnât worry me. Now, the question is, do you feel like something sweet or something savoury? Theyâre pretty filling, so Iâd personally stick to the one, unless youâre sharing with your friend there?â
âOh, my husband and I are sharing,â Rose said. âSorry, this is my husband James, and Iâm Rose. James, this isâŚ..â
âMichaela,â the young woman said easily. âAnd this is my friend Maria.â
âNice to meet you,â the Doctor said, looking up from his paper momentarily.
âLikewise.â Michaela frowned for a moment. âYou know, you remind me of someoneâŚ.but I canât think who.â
âPoor bugger if he has a face like this,â the Doctor snorted and Rose rolled her eyes and kicked him under the table. She didnât like anyone insulting the face she loved- not even him.
âRight, reckon weâll get both of those crepes and share.â
âMake sure you get the fruit on the side with the Nutella crepe,â Michaela warned. âUnless you donât mind people polluting your Nutella with fruit. They practically cover it in fruit.â
Maria rolled her eyes. âIt wasnât that bad.â
Michaela narrowed her eyes. âOnly if youâre a heathen who doesnât mind Nutella with her fruit instead of the other way around. I, however, do.â
Maria rolled her eyes and turned to Rose. âYouâll have to excuse her- sheâs a Nutella addict.â
âNoted,â Rose said in amusement. âFruit on the side it is.â Calling over the very French waiter, she placed their order, along with some coffee, and chatted with the two young women whilst the Doctor leafed through the paper. Their food arrived in good time and it was all quite pleasant until the Doctor turned a page in the paper and suddenly spat out his coffee.
âHarkness! Bloody Harkness!â
âWhat?â Rose leaned over the paper, searching frantically. âWhatâs he done?â
Before the Doctor could respond, however, Michaela spat out her coffee and collapsed in fits of laughter, pointing at a certain headline.
Australia Now has a Giant Penis that Can Be Seen From Space.
âI canât believe heâs done it again,â Rose groaned. âHe promised!â
âHeâs done this before?â Maria asked interestedly.Â
Rose sighed. âEver happen to see a story about the British Air Force and a giant knob in the sky, a couple of years ago?â
As the two young women choked with laughter, Rose chanced a glance at her husband and cringed. There was no way heâd ever let Jack live this one down.
It was visible from space, after all.

Later that day, at the Intercontinental Hotel, the Rocks, Sydney
âWhat the bloody hell were you thinkinâ?â the Doctor demanded.Â
âWell, hello, to you too, Doc,â Jack huffed. âI had an awesome trip, thanks for asking.â
âYou also desecrated a dry riverbed with a giant knob thatâs visible from space!â the Doctor growled. âWhat in the great black vacuum of space were you thinkinâ, Harkness?â
âYou promised, Jack,â Rose sighed. âBefore we left. And when we arrived. You promised.â
âWhat? You said no airspace violations (as if I would!), no love serpents in the sky and no desecrating sacred sites! I didnât do any of that!â
Rose buried her face in her hands. âI need a drink.â
ââItâs just a dried up old riverbed in Geelong,â Jack protested. âNothing major.â
âAnd what possessed you to draw a giant knob and balls in a dry riverbed in Geelong?â the Doctor asked, rolling his eyes. âFelt like adding to the local colour? Thought youâd nip off the bus, have a pint at the local and leave them some graffiti to cause an international incident?â
âWell, youâre half right. We did have a few beers at some point-â
âThereâs a shocker,â the Doctor muttered.
â- but the art was an idea I had before that, and everyone loved it!â
The Doctorâs eyebrows shot up. ââScuse me?â
âYou heard me! They loved it! We all pitched in and it was done in no time.â
The Doctor groaned. âYou mean you got other people involved in this criminal jaunt of yours?â
âIt wasnât criminal!â Jack defended vehemently. âIt was a bonding experience! We had people from all over the world on that bus and they all helped! It was like a mini-UN!â
ââExcept the UN doesnât go around defacinâ other peopleâs countries with giant penises,â Rose pointed out. âAnd offendinâ the local population with said penis that is apparently visible from space .â
âI know,â Jack smirked. âIâm so proud of our little group. And we didnât offend anybody! Some local farmers saw it and thought it was hilarious, and we all bonded over it, and really, it was a great act of diplomacy and international relations!â
Both Rose and the Doctor stared at him.
 âCome again?â the Doctor gaped.
âYou heard me! This gorgeous art brought us all together, so donât you go dissing my Doodle of Diplomacy!â
