I just finished eldermourne and am obsessed, could I request a Fiarina doodle?? Or just one of the girls if two is too much!!
no one gets them like i do. emily axford you cooked with this one
Anybody remember how couple years ago it was a trend to redraw this Ghibli screenshot with different characters? Well, I also drew it. Well. Started drawing it. Forgot about it. Finished it this year. Even though the trend has been dead and buried for years, my art is just now seeing the light of day. I hope you're doing wonderful.
Fia's outfit slays in this one (even if I do say so myself). Also I think lookswise Fia is actually more like Howl (tall, dark hair, gangly girlchild) and Irina more Sophie (dress, shorter, even the silver hair!). However! Irina is the more magical one as a daughter of a god. Don't get me wrong, Fia is very magical too. But when it came to choosing which role to put these girls in, Irina will be the wizard (or sorcerer, i know) to sweep her bookish girlfriend off her feet.
are you wondering why your local naddpod fan is Going Through It over Ludmila and Marya? it's 'cause we've been here before.
please enjoy this absolutely devastating series of clips.
spoilers for eldermourne!
transcript:
a clip from Cloudward, Ho! episode 19: The Straka Strikes, followed by a series of clips from Eldermourne Ep. 41: Cerenysus. The separation of clips is denoted with "--" Ludmila (Brennan): I am going to strike you down here. Marya (Emily): Mila. I'm here. I'm sorry that it took me so long, but I'm here. Ludmila: You abandoned me. Marya: No, no, I abandoned hope. I didn't even believe in Zood anymore. I thought the whole reason all of this happened was because we were chasing the wrong dream. If I had known, I would have come. I just didn't even know it existed. I thought you were dead. Ludmila: I did die. The me that lives now is new and better. Knows more, knows not to believe in weak things. -- Irina (Murph) [voice deep as if in slow motion]: Are you abandoning me, Fia? Fia (Emily): Never. -- Irina: She - [Emily laughing throughout] Hank (Jake) [overlapping]: But I think - Irina [continuing]: abandoned me - Zirk (Caldwell) [distantly]: She's here! Hank: No. She didn't. Irina: - Hank! Hank: She's never abandoned anybody. She waited in a train car for eight years. For. For Batilda. She doesn't abandon people. That's not what she does. -- Fia: Irina, I'm not leaving you. I'm actually going to the world you made. And it's so beautiful and I promise you, we can make it here. We don't need to destroy everything to do what's there. Irina: I know better than you now, Fi. I don't need you to save me. Fia: I actually think you do more than ever. -- Murph [narrating]: Fia, in this moment, you like strike her. She was this, like, confident God. As soon as you hit her, something dispels and she once again becomes this very vulnerable girl. She looks scared for a second, and then she is knocked out and falls back into your arms. Emily [in Fia's voice, narrating]: Yeah, so I, just, it's so foolish and means nothing. But I still bonus action cast sanctuary on her. -- Fia: God. You were my fucking dream for so fucking long. But these people are my reality. And it is by your actions that one of them has died. And you tried to kill more of them. [gasping breath] And I - will miss you so much. [sobs] But I - [sobbing breath] I cannot support this. Mr. Henry. Kill her.
so like. look out everyone.

Ship headcanon asks!
Fiarina
💞How do they act when one of them is sick?
At first, panic, because they were apart for so long and oh no what if something bad happens now we haven't had enough time etc etc. Fia is a good healer so she'll lock in at first and then fall apart later. Irina panic runs to Zirk for help and then has him teach her things (they're besties I don't make the rules and also I think it would be cute if she was trying to like, surprise Fia with it) so she can help Fia herself. As time goes on they get much more calm about it all unless it's actually urgent/serious. I also think that they're both a little too self sufficient/you don't need to help me/I don't deserve it so they "fight" each other about all this a bit. It's not a real argument though.
I forgot to post this but I was right
Hi do you ever think about how Murph briefly describes the vampire spawn guarding Kenley's mansion as having mismatched clothes. And then Emily mistakes him for meaning "patchwork clothes" and becomes so enamoured by the idea of this woman, this monster trying to make her own clothing that Fia refuses to fight her. Even as the spawn attacks her. Even as the spawn attacks her friends.
And then do you think about how when Fia meets up with Irina again, first in her dreams and then in reality, Murph mentions multiple times that she's "wearing a patchwork cloak, like someone who has had to make her own clothes but isn't particularly good at it". Do you ever think about that. Do y-
