Fierce Grace Teacher Internship Day 1
After 13 classes per week over the past month in one week I’ve only managed to practice 3 classes, 7hours script revision, a clean house, a birthday party, maximum family time, lots of bad foods… Plenty of sleep!
Today started a new phase in our fresh journey, our internship! So lovely to see so many if the family sad to miss those who worked or who live abroad :(. Some of us attended classic class before the meeting that was lead by one of the established staff who recently qualified as a FG teacher. Nice to sweat together again ha! Tea, coffee, snacks for me and a few others as we gathered in the Queens Crescent market all getting hyped about the day ahead and relief that we all felt pretty similar in regards to low emotionally and exhausted and everything!
We looked over exam questions ensuring we all had correct answers. Then a discussion on ensuring we know the FG classic series as this is what the cover will initially be. We then discussed internship and we was told who we need to contact in regards to cover work. #important
During the Internship we will be mentored through practice mock classes offered to friends and family and through assisting senior teachers in classes for at least two weeks and then if we are ready the cover work will commence!
I filled forms and signed documents and filled more forms and initialed more documents.. Policies, procedures, expectation, how to use x , studio management, health and safety/hygiene. I probably don’t own my own home now but hey ho I believe the yoga will see me through💜
Saturday will be my first mock class shared with 3 others this should be a good deifying experience not having your friend who’s professional practitioner stroke their big toe to prompt your script to flow!
On that note Padangustasana ere I come!
Namaste 💜
