Fierce Grace Hot Yoga Teacher Training Day 13
Feeling champion still not 100%. Impressed with me as I need to so more learning of the script. Well today was lovely, we had our morning practice. I felt stiff and cold! Ummm, muscles are tightening up! More pink Himalayan salts for me tonight! Before class 2hr theory with Michele, I learn so much from Guru Pernetta she spoke of Ayurvedic medicine diets and body types. MP gave us a brake down on what we should and shouldn't be eating. According to my body type I am "Pita Vatta" I new this already and hated hearing again to avoid lemon chilli .. I won't bore you with my long list I strongly advise that you do a Ayurvedic quiz on line and visit a Ayurvedic doctor. All those weirdos shite things that happen to your mind skin digestive tract and so much more can be fixed! We then had lunch yummi two poached eggs brown toast and spinach/lemon at the Early Bird Cafe next to Chalk Farm Tube. Then we had a posture work shop were we finished learning the technique and modifications for the Fierce Grace series postures :) woooop! Then we all had to deliver our script down the mic to a small group in front if all trainees Terry (Michele's husband) taking photos and Michele. Every one is improving greatly and working hard. Really good informative session! After this we had a yoga class lead by Guru Pernetta. I struggled coping with my sore knee in some postures but had a lovely class and an amazing detox #sweatingbuckets. We finished the evening with Guru Pete Cherry looking at the history of Hinduism. He is an amazing leader and full of knowledge; we just have to learn it fast! Feel a but sad today as we only have 8days left! But totally happy at the same contradictory time Love FGTT 💜
Fierce Grace Hot Yoga Teacher Training Day 10
Temperatures rising (all I can hear now is R-Kelly) people are starting to pop off! (made up street term for angry folk) Â Shouting and swearing! Emotions are live and tears are falling! People are exhausted! Day 10 with the FG family was colourful. I think its time to start whispering in a couple peoples ears ..#al-pacinostyle!
Great start to the day looking at the history of Hinduism. Just finished my homework on this topic. I really enjoyed the session and it reminded me of a lot of things I'd already read up on when at Uni and taught me a lot too.
The speech therapy lesson yesterday gave us all much to work on but also helped us with our breathing and our pronunciation of words. I am still pronouncing stretch without sounding "tc" I think .. When I say the word in front of Guru Pernetta it sounds messed up :)
Had good practice today and enjoyed the Master Class. We were given corrections to improve our technique and ensure we are executing all movement correctly and safely.
Early finish 7pm - I just finished recording more postures to listen to on the way in tomorrow. The sound of my own voice is funny to listen to.

Fierce Grace Hot Yoga Teacher Training Day 6
Half day 💜 started with 7am FG class with Guru Emma Croft. Then teaching analysis (made up the title) with Michele Terry and Emma. After introductions Terry spoke of the task ahead and the overall aim, We were filmed teaching a group member and next week we will watch back to analyse further! Fun in the Sun as we practiced our script deliver on small groups :) We were all a bit nervous. HW: revise and learn script for 20 postures. Nameste 💜

Fierce Grace Teacher Training Day 5
Today was a very tough day. We had a late start @10.15am - luxury sleep, 7hrs as opposed to 5 or 3. I enjoyed the practical classes but could feel my stamina and blood pressure making me feel challenged. 11 classes in 5 days when I would have normally do 5 classes in that time.
Good hot yoga tip: when doing hot yoga and especially teacher training, ensure you hydrate properly - which doesn’t mean just drink water but drink electrolytes, put lemon slices and pink Himalayan salts in your water. Why pink you ask? It has iron in!! White salt should be thrown away as it has been bleached, removing all the goodness! Generally, if food is white or beige I don’t eat it as it is usually bad for you. Coconut water hydrates you very quickly and gives you back some of the goodness you sweated out.
The classes were great - we are learning so much useful knowledge which will be used for a lifetime. Today we did our 2 practical classes and had an amazing posture workshop!
The main thing I remembered is the meditation we did, we prayed and meditated for our trainee Fierce Grace family member from Brazil. Her dog ate a mango stone and toilet paper, and she got a scary phone call from her family back home that broke her heart. GOOD news: the dog has been operated on and will be fine and will be home tonight!
Back to the meditation: Deep circular breathing, whilst all sat in a large circle we all closed our eyes and on the exhale we sent positive energy out letting it circulate around our circle that surrounded us, eventually the positive life force permeates the circle and reaches others. Guru Pernetta said it starts to feels like love! And it did! There were tears - it was emotional. What a beautiful day. 💜 Fierce Grace Hot Yoga
