I am currently looking through a bunch of Japanese media in terms of worldbuilding, and it got me stuck on Ivalice as a setting, because fuck, I love this world so much. Even though you can argue to no end whether or not all instances of Ivalice is actually the same world, given that Tactics itself is a purely human world, while the other parts have at least some non-human people. And of course folding the two TA titles into it (where it is explicitly a fantasy world that is an isekai run on fantasies of real world people). And... Like, thinking about it is confusing.
But man. I love those games so much.
Tactics Advance was the first Final Fantasy thing I ever played, and I adored it so much. And because of that I was insanely hyped for XII when it came out. Which then is also the reason I own XII for PS2, PS4, Steam, and Switch. Because I adore this game so much. lol
I kinda miss the Tactics Advance crew though. I loved Ritz and Shara so much. Also, I was crushing on Balthier so much back then xD
