Born into a Troian lineage descended of the long lost Light Elves, and blessed by the holy dragons of eld, Lynn Dragonsheart is raised and formed in the expectation of becoming a stalwart protector of the Land of Troia.

Her mother, a lady dragoon who yearns for revolution, forms Lynn in the art of the spear with hopes that her, her dragon and her daughters might rise up in Troia's defense, and eventually, dare to strike at her rivals. This earns her the disdain of the Epopts, and as Lynn grows and the young maiden showcases a gift in white and black magic both, the relationship between the two becomes strained.

The years pass by, and when the monster attacks plague Troia, and the two powerful mages sent from Mysidia arrive to train Troian forces, Lynn becomes determined in mastering her gift, despite her mother's constant belittlement.

As it is written in the history of their name, seven dragons are to descend from the heavens when a daughter of their house becomes of 14 years of age; the dragons would gaze at her and weigh the desire of her heart. Should it be ill-intended, the seven would take to the skies anew, but should it be worthy, the dragon who chooses her would bow its head and spread its wings. If Lynn was not chosen, her mother would strip her of her name.

When Riven, a butterfly-like winged dragon bows at the girl who would not be a lady dragoon, the mother becomes enraged, and Lynn, honored with wonder.
