Finnrey Short: Side Mission
“We’re closing in.” Rey announced with her hands gripped tightly on the steering wheel.
“Already?” Finn said with his mouth full.
Hearing the munching, Rey’s head shot back to her partner. “What are you eating?”
Finn slowed his chews, “Snacks” he muttered before gulping it down.
“Snacks?!” Rey shouted. “What are you eating snacks for? We’re on a mission Finn.”
“Hey I didn’t know it would be this quick.” Finn defended. “Usually these trips take a while.”
“It’s not a trip it’s a mission!” Rey emphasized. “And more importantly, how could you not offer me any? That’s just rude.”
Finn scoffed. “You’re the pilot, you have to focus.”
“Finn!” “Don’t crash” he pointed ahead.
Rey turned to the windshield and saw the incoming building, she turned the wheel sharply just in time to avoid a crash. She slowed down the ship and brought them to safe landing.
Finn and Rey stepped out of the ship out of the Millennium Falcon with their weapons already drawn. They creeped up to side of the building.
“I’m just saying, be more considerate next time.” Rey whispered while scanning the area.
“There won’t be a next time if you don’t focus.” Finn whispered back before using the Force to throw down the door.
Storm Troopers fired away but Finn and Rey deflected all of the blasts with their light sabers and threw the blast back, dropping all but one.
“We’re not finished with this conversation.” Rey warned.
Finn ignored her and ran up to grab the remaining Trooper. “We’re here for Lando. Where is he?” he said with his grip tight.
The Trooper pointed to the back room to which Finn and Rey dashed off to.
Inside they saw and elderly man that fit Leia’s description strapped to a chair. Finn walked up to him but ducked when he heard a blast. Finn looked up to see the blast frozen in mid air right in front of his face.
Rey walked up with her arm stretched out and chucked the frozen blast up to the balcony and took down the sniper. Rey looked back to Finn and crossed her arms.
“Okay Okay. I’ll bring more snacks next time.”
