Two weeks ago I’ve started playing Final Fantasy Type Zero.

This is kinda special for me. Well. All types I’ve played are kinda special xD”“ - FFXV was my first FF game. - FFX was the game that made me getting interested in Final Fantasy about.. what?? more than 10 years ago. - And now FF Type Zero is the first game I play in Japanese xD”

I bougt it in Japan and it said you can change the voices to English. So I thought: Nice. Let’s buy it and try it in Japanese and if I can’t understand anything let’s change into English. Well, what I didn’t think of was that you can really only change the VOICES into English. Everything else is in Japanese. The menu. The conversations that don’t have voices (which are a lot.). The explanations about the fighting system. The items. The weapons. The missions. Absolutely everything.

I don’t know what kind of player you are but I usually skim through the explanations and try out myself a lot without actually completely READING the stuff. Now I can’t SKIM because it’s in Japanese. So either I try to understand. And read it all. Or I don’t understand anything at all. And since I am a “let’s try” character when it comes to video games.. well... xD”““

I think I probably get only half of the game. For example the other day one of my characters got poisoned. It took me about 292 of his 300 life points to read through the potions I own to find out which one cures poison xDDDD He survived. But it was such a race against time. It even made me laugh while I desperately searched for the antidote. It’s fun though! I am pretty sure I could do a lot more if it was in English but.. I still kind of get it??
