Type-0 is absolutely insane because its scale almost stops feeling real. Hundreds of millions of timelines. Endless cycles of death. Entire worlds repeatedly sacrificed just to keep a broken system running.
That’s why this artwork leans so heavily into fractured weapons, violent vermilion textures, and collapsing symbolism. Not to create heroes. To create survivors who were asked to carry far more than children ever should.
Honestly… I still think this might be one of the most underrated stories Square ever made.
