Inspired by the iconic “trench kiss” scene from Andrei Tarkovsky’s Ivan’s Childhood (1962) — the one where Captain Kholin kisses Masha in the middle of war.
I really loved the idea of fragile tenderness surrounded by something cold and terrifying, so I wanted to reinterpret that scene with Finch and Crystal.
