All those dreams where you're my wife (inside your mind) | Millief {flashfoward} | Small-Para
@princessauroraworld
âTime to wake up, my princessâ, sussurrou ao ouvido da mulher com quem sonhava todas as noites ainda.
Hello, I'm Cat. I'm a disabled PhD student at the London College of Fashion examining disability,...

This blog centers around how disability relates to the fashion industry. People with disabilities sometimes face challenges (due to things like mobility issues) in regards to clothing and being able to express themselves through their appearance. We as a society have constructed a set of beauty norms that results in people feeling pressured to conform to unrealistic standards in order to fit into what is accepted as ânormalâ and avoid being âotheredâ.
Itâs important to recognize that everyoneâs experiences with disability are different. As well, the best people to educate others on the challenges people with disabilities face are always those who have disabilities themselves and can speak from personal experience. This blog shares different stories, links to articles from mainstream media as well as answers questions/gives tips regarding disability and personal expression through fashion.Â

Accessibility Fails is an account that documents the real-life experiences of those living with disabilities or accessibility challenges. This account is great to follow because as a feminist and a person who does not live with these challenges, it can be hard to recognize where we as a society are going wrong in failing to provide equal access to all.
From things like bathroom layouts fails to hallway passages being obscured by objects, there are many things that weâve socially constructed to be ânormalâ that actually present obstacles to people. By acknowledging these issues and increasing our exposure to them we may work to solve them. From this, we can also use any privilege we may possess to advocate to higher authorities like governments and/or building contractors to make the world a more accessible place.Â

Making Queer History runs a podcast and a series of articles that work to tell our history.

âHistory is queerer than you thinkâ -Intro to Making Queer Historyâs podcasts.Â
Making Queer History is a blog that runs a podcast telling the stories of queer people throughout history. We live in a patriarchal society and so much of our history has been written by heterosexual, cis-gender men who have failed to acknowledge the struggles of LGBTQ+ people, women, people of color, as well as other marginalized groups.Â
We are missing parts of our history.Â
This podcast works to tell the stories of queer people, shed light on the history of queer people in society and in the long-run increase the level of representation of queer people in general. As feminists, itâs important to give everyoneâs stories the opportunities to be heard especially if we possess privileges in regards to access to education and internet. This is a great account that does just that. As well, this account is fantastic as it posts links to its podcasts for those who enjoy/need audio formats over texts.
