Adarlan - red lipstick, leather jackets, ambition, chilly mornings, narrow streets, big ballrooms, gold rings, blasting your favourite song in the car, loud laughter, smoke, shopping, driving around the city at midnight

Terrasen - stargazing, huge quiet libraries, drinking in a crowded tavern, running around halls barefoot, dancing, feeling lost but at peace, violin playing, climbing snowy mountains, unforgiving wind on the top of highest mountain

Fenharrow - the sound of raindrops on window, warm fireplace, messy braids, loving hugs, warm hands, running on a cold morning, endless fields, cup of tea, cloud-watching, petting a dog, old dusty books

Melisande - champagne, perfect hair, high heels, brutal storms, feeling trapped in time, crying at night, music boxes, hidden motives, quiet with a deep gaze, sound of coins being dropped to the floor, old trinkets

Eyllwe - gold bracelets, water fountains, water lilies, laughing with friends, sun on skin, feeling of acceptance, braiding your loved one’s hair, learning a foreign language, taking pictures of beautiful scenery

Doranelle - long flowing hair, discipline, waterfalls, music coming from everywhere, the sound of piano, cobblestone streets, neat cursive handwriting, glowing skin, mixing gold and silver jewellery

Ok so bear with me here but I can’t help but think that Yrene and Sorscha are, or were (sorry), related. If this has already been suggested and isn’t original my apologies. I couldn’t find this theory anywhere though so here are my reasons:

1. Both Sorscha and Yrene come from Southern Fenharrow. In ToD it says that after her mother’s death she went and stayed with her mother’s cousin in another Fenharrow Village. Yrene’s mother could have been Sorscha’s mother’s sister. Meaning that Yrene and Sorscha could be cousins. 

2. They are both both healers. Even though Sorscha wasn’t as gifted as Yrene, they both were talented in this area. 

3. They have similar appearances. They are both described with “Golden tan skin” and have brown hair. Sorscha and Yrene are also both described with “stunning eyes.” This could be a family trait, hint hint.

4. No books tell us what Sorscha’s last name was, or what her mother’s was. It could have been Towers.

5. They both have similar personalities; timid, but motivated. They are also depicted as liars. In HoF Dorian asks Sorscha what her greatest wish is (was). She said that she didn't have one. Dorian replied with “Liar.” Now, if we switch to ToD after the encounter with the Valg, that followed Yrene, she was asked what happened. She replied with “I was walking back here to make sure Lord Westfall took a tonic.” When, in reality, she was actually going to woop his sorry ass. As soon as she said that, Chaol thinks “Liar. Smooth, pretty liar.” This cannot be a mere coincidence that both men said, or thought, “Liar.”

6. This one is a little tricky so hopefully it will make sense. Sorscha was around 16-19 years old. Yrene is 22. Yrene left her cousin’s house at the age of 18. Meaning that Sorscha was about 12-15 years old. They were about the same age. I don’t know if this is true but I think Sorscha’s family moved to Rifthold shortly after Yrene left (in ToD it said that Yrene left her aunt while they were in Fenharrow.) This means that the times sort of line up. However, Sorscha did say that she had a crush on Dorian for 6 years. This could’ve been interpreted to mean that she had been at the castle for 6 years. However, she could have seen him on a royal progress, or something similar. Therefore, the dates line up when Yrene left Fenharrow and Sorscha moved to Rifthold.

7. It is not specified that Yrene’s aunt did not have any children.
