I bought this succulent from the grocery store like a month or two ago, and for most of that time, I’ve kept it on my desk, with my lamp on it. Obviously with the storm a couple weeks ago, my desk waterlogged and having to be thrown out, I needed to find a new temporary home for my plant till we move out. I thought since my tree did pretty well out there last time (I need to get my tree back from my dad; he’s been letting it grow wild with his, but I bought it to train it. While I’m on that, I’ll need to wash out all the roots, since my dad’s place is horror-tastic filthy, and definitely give it entirely new dirt), I would put the succulent out there.
I did not account for the cat–the crazy one. Bitch ate all the fucking leaves in the middle and tossed what pittance of dirt there was all over the sill. I was wondering why every damn time I looked at the thing, it was tilted a different way. Up till I found it horizontal with almost no dirt left and noticed the missing leaves, for some weird reason, I thought it was my partner’s mom, maybe when she does the laundry? Luckily, there was some extra soil in the garage, so I added some water, fresh dirt and moved the plant to a new window.
Cats are losing their appeal to me.
