I used to go to the nail salon to get my nails done, but since I started working as a cemetery gardener, where I have to use my hands as my main tools, I can’t really keep up with that anymore.

I have been trying out these UV-Nails gel strips for the past few months, and they’re a really good alternative to regular salon nails if you don’t have much time, money or simply can’t have long nails for whatever reason. I’ve tried a few different brands and these from trend !t up have been my favorite so far. They last around 2-3 weeks ( in my case ), as long as you apply them correctly and don’t play with them.

- I push my cuticles back and carefully trim them

- I file my nails into the shape I want. Usually almond shape

- I lightly buff the surface of my nails

- I use nail polish remover to degrease the nail surface

- I apply the UV strips to my nails and cure them under a UV lamp ( it’s my sisters UV Lamp… thank you Sam :) )

- I file of the excess around the edges

- I apply a UV top coat and cure them under the UV lamp again.
