@felinalain Here he is all printed! He doesnât look all that bad all things considered!
I figured the claws and wingy bits might not print well with the Ender 3 (Iâve noticed mine has a few problems with some fine details) but they turned out a little better than I thought. The wings and left arm came off when I removed the supports but a bit of super glue fixed the arm right back. The wingy bits Iâve since removed to be safe. Iâll probably make some replacements out of yoghurt lid and some wire to make them a bit more sturdy and poseable. Maybe white twist ties for his claws. (or Iâll need to borrow the Nephewâs 3D doodler pen to do some tidy up)
I printed in the horizontal axis and went heavy with the supports and used a raft but I think I might try another orientation as well at another time as the underside is a mess from the support material being peeled off. For now Iâll just say this fellow is a battle damaged variant!
My slicer settings were: Material - Flashforge White PLA; Layer height- 0.2, 75% infill (gyroid); Curaâs supports manually set at a 15° angle for âeverywhereâ and used a raft to help it stick to the build plate. Total print time was 4 hours.
