Prompt 19: Alien, adventurous, palette

OC of mine in a costume 19:

The Goatherd and the Shepherdess (Felim/Sydney, Medieval times)

It’s not a particularly exciting life. She wakes up, gets ready for the day, takes the sheep out to pasture, brings them back in again, goes to bed, repeat. She’d likely be more bored with it if she’d ever known anything different.

But she’s not known anything different, and she doesn’t need a particularly exciting life, really. She’s got something better.

She’s got a boy with a beautiful smile, a goatherd whose flock doesn’t seem to mind interactions with sheep in the least, a young man who kisses her hand with all the grace of a noble and none of the prissiness. And even though she knows her father will likely be hesitant to approve, she can’t hope that someday, he’ll be more than just her goatherd.
