I'm going to share something briefly.
In the age of internet discourse, nuance is lost. I left this blog for a long time because I was afraid of making mistakes or causing accidental harm and having that overshadow the purpose of this blog. I am still very scared of that. It has never and will never be my intention to harm anyone or purposefully spread misinformation.
I am not saying I should not be corrected or informed when I do make a mistake. I appreciate when people do point something out or correct me or point me to further information. That is an important part of learning and moving forward in life, just generally.
I think I wanted to share this because most things in life do have nuance (with exception ofc) and I try to consider most sides of an issue before I make a post about it. I have made mistakes in the past (remember when I accidentally didn't believe it was Mary?) and do my best to ensure that I have all information before I make a post.
I am one person and I am going to make mistakes. I just ask that you give me the benefit of the doubt, as I try to do as well. I don't know if this post will be received well, but I felt it needed said.
