rating: this took me completely by surprise. i expected some generic fantasy and instead i was thrown into a melancholic world where humanity can no longer use fire. it’s a wonderful thought experiment and beautifully quiet for sci-fi.

rating: bratty magical girl who wants to destroy her abusers meets grumpy old flower man who just wants to live an honest life. and it’s kind of cute!

rating: tiny boy trying to play with the big boys -- succeeding by actually learning about the sport! -- so he can become a little giant for his own team as well.

rating: hey if ever you want to see a show thoroughly ignoring the advice “show don’t tell”, watch this.

rating: mash ww1 and ww2 together, sprinkle in some alternative universe-ish names, and add a witch so in love with her princess that she will end the war to protect her -- and u get this anime. and i. care very little.
