#febficaday2 - Day 21 (Confessions & First Kisses)

Summary: It’s just that he can’t figure it out-there’s a diffuse sort of puppy-wanting in his mouth for Remus and he knows it's different than the adoration he follows James with but he can’t figure out how. Sirius watches Remus at breakfast, in class, in their dorm, the way he holds himself like an apology and a broken promise and he doesn’t know why the sight of him tastes so damn sweet.

A post-quidditch party: Sirius, too much beer, and everything he wants to say to Remus but doesn't know how to.

#febficaday2 - Day 1 (Holidays)

Summary: Maybe it’ll be okay, Remus thinks. Maybe it can be just this—two friends having fun, playing and laughing in the snow. Maybe he doesn’t need anything more. Maybe he can get used to just being a friend, maybe that will be just fine. Maybe he can take the joy he has right now, swallow it whole, and feel satisfied.

Then, Padfoot drops the branch at Remus’s feet and transforms back into Sirius, letting out heavy breaths with a beaming grin on his face, and maybe Remus will die if he doesn’t get to hold Sirius’s face in his hands and kiss him until the snow settles and melts and falls again.

In the weeks before Christmas, Remus attempts to handle his increasingly unavoidable infatuation with Sirius Black.

Summary: “Sirius Black, were you about to break my window just to get my attention at—” He ducked inside again to check the clock. “--ass o’clock in the morning?”

“My parents are asleep.”

“You’re twenty-three,” Sirius said in the same tone of false sympathy, though his grin didn’t falter as he stuck his hands in his pockets and rocked back on his heels. “C’mon, I’ll be by the fence.”

Remus shook his head. His parents were dead asleep. Up until four minutes prior, he had been dead asleep, and quite comfortably so. There was shit to do in the morning, and if he wasn’t under his own sheets soon to get ready for work instead of snuggled up in Sirius Cocky Bastard Black’s bed, the stockroom inventory he had promised his mother would get done would be set back ages. “Give me five minutes.”

James was outright snickering now, and not making the slightest effort to hide it. "Brilliant," he said, nearly doubling over with laughter.

Summary: “’Course, see?” Sirius repeats. He smiles triumphantly. “Exactly. So we should kiss. I’ll be your first kiss for you, Moony.”

Sirius moves to lean in again, but Remus doesn’t. Instead, he merely looks at him for what feels like an awfully long time.

“No, thanks.”

And forgive him for being big-headed, but this is an unexpected development, Sirius must admit.
