It was still too late to rein Beau back in, though, and a greeting was already being offered to her. “The way you flirt is shameful,” he reproached his companion, but Beau didn’t appear to be paying much attention; already, it was glued to the one who’d initially captured it. Glancing up at her, chagrin suffused the curve of John’s lips. “Sorry, I think he’s pretty fond of you already. But people say dogs are good judges of character, right?” He extended his free hand to her. “I’m John Myers. You’re new here — ?”

Honestly, anything that Kara wanted Barry would give her. If she wanted kisses, he’d give those, if she wanted hugs then hugs it would be. The peck on the lips had turned into longer more involved kisses and suddenly they were there on her couch making out. His body was tingling with the speedforce, he could feel is coursing through his veins. “Kara. . .” He mumbled against her lips before he pulled away. “We should probably cool it.” He couldn’t hurt her, but he felt like he was going to lose control.  “Or - - - just a couple more.” He leaned back in, lips meeting the alien’s once more, parting slightly. God, she was very intoxicating. Was it because she was an alien or was she just a really good kisser? 

“When things were less...complicated.” Winn trailed as he looked up at Kara, his best friend. He felt terrible for keeping this secret from her, for not telling her sooner. He knew that he and James should have been honest from the start, like she was with him. But they didn’t want her to worry. She had so much on her plate, she was Supergirl. But if he could help her, if he could help this city, he was going to do just that. “I’m sorry Kara. I really did want to tell you. We just, didn’t know how.” 

Sitting in her loft, Barry had collected their empty takeout cartons and discarded them into the recycle bin before returning to the couch. Kara was snuggled up beneath the blanket that the two of them had been sharing and now Barry returned to climb back under it with her. He smiled softly, eyes crinkling at the edges as he snuggled up to her, a hand going to rest around her shoulders before he gazed at her. The beauty that emanated from the Girl of Steel was out of this world, no pun intended. He just stared at her for a moment. “Kara - - -.” He took a deep breath before just letting it out. “I love you.”       This had been the first time to let those words out but he did. He loved her. They had grown close over the past few months and Kara - - - there was something about her that drew him to her. He had loved her as a friend but this was different, this was deeper and he couldn’t deny the way that he felt. They had grown so close after Mon El’s departure from Earth. After Barry had found Kara in the worst state he’d ever seen her. He had brought her back to life and she meant everything to him, he could never wish to be without her. “I am in love with you.” He admitted. “I know that we haven’t taken that step and you don’t have to say it back but I really needed you to know how I feel.” 

“Wakey, wakey goodie two-shoes.” A sing-song voice rose through the quiet room. Kara was already up and dressed, looking down at HERSELF still in bed wrapped up in her comforter.       Back it up a little bit, how exactly did this happen? Yesterday Supergirl was fighting a bad guy and today she was looking at HERSELF in bed. Black kryptonite was a powerful thing, it had torn her in two. The sleeping version was the Kara that everyone knew and loved while the one that was up and dressed for the day was the repressed darkness that was always lingering inside of that bright, positive blonde.  “We are going to have to work this out. I can’t have you walking around while I’m out and about.” So? She was going to have to do SOMETHING.      While her other half had been asleep SHE had been poisoned. Somehow she’d been strong enough to escape and get back here, but now she wanted revenge and the only way that she could achieve  that was if she and the other Kara teamed up. That would be no easy feat. 

“Will you just. Sit down or somethin’, Freckles? Just try and calm down.”

Holding Kara’s hand as they walked through a cute little Christmas shop, Mon spotted something that he snatched up real quick. He’d seen it in movies and read about it in books but hadn’t gotten to put it to use. Now was his chance! Holding it up over their heads, Mon-El grinned at Kara. “I found the mistletoe.” He wiggled it in his fingers before leaning in and kissing his girlfriend. “We should get this and hang it up in the apartment.” He suggested. Even though the man really didn’t need any excuse to kiss her, it was fun anyway!
