Top 4 crime thrillers to me (from my generation). Technically, and atmosphere wise. 5 out of 5 all these, the more I re-watch these the more I appreciate it. “Prisoners” reminded me of Se7en so much, Hugh Jackman (“Logan” forever ) was amazing, I felt every emotion he expressed, along with Jake Gyllenhaal. I fell in love with Rosamund Pike after “Gone Girl” it’s a fatal attraction thing it’s horrible I know, that was some haunting shit. “True Detective” season 1 should also be mentioned too, for Matthew McConaughey, and Woody Harrelson’s performances. Hoping directors like Dan Gilroy “Nightcrawler”, Dennis Villeneuve, David Fincher, or Ben Affleck bless us with more of these. I read that a new “Madea” movie is in post-production that’s what sparked this post. I feel like we used to have a better attention span before those films didn’t we? I’m a hater haa..
