Meet our Guest Curator of the week @nickmisani! Nick is no stranger to Goodtype as we have been a long time fan of his and are honored to have his art featured in our latest book. Nick is a freelance designer currently based in Italy—where he's spending a few months working, eating a lot of great Italian vegan food, and restoring a vintage bicycle. Before going freelance, Nick was a book cover designer at Penguin Random House and, most recently, the senior designer at Louise Fili Ltd—a celebrated NYC studio that specializes in vintage lettering and elegant branding. This is where he developed the love for all things Art Nouveau and Art Deco that still inform his work. • In addition to lettering and typography, Nick is passionate about interior design and decorative arts (which informed his personal project @fauxsaics). Nick’s clients include Apple, Target, Airbnb, and Penguin Radom House. He was named a Young Gun by the ADC, an Ascender by the Type Directors Club, and has been featured by the AIGA, How Magazine, Communication Arts, Fast Company, Adobe, and Wired. • Look out later this summer because Nick has an upcoming Skillshare class on Art Deco Lettering!
