Do you find it to be difficult to explain to others being asexual? Are you often pressured into explaining "its not that I've not met the right person". But it is more like thst likely beings freinds is all you want?
I’m pretty open about being ace on the internet, but I haven’t directly told too many people irl aside from close friends and some fellow anthropology classmates.  Mostly, it seems like an exhausting task for the reasons you described: I know that I will probably have to explain what asexuality is and convince people that it’s a legitimate sexuality.  It sounds tiring, so I don’t do it much.  In the case of people who are more informed about lgbtqia, I don’t mind sharing that I’m biromantic asexual.
What I’ve done to sort of side-step this problem is wear a pair of earrings that I made with the ace flag on them.  This way, people who know about asexuality know that I’m ace without needing to have the whole conversation with me.
EDIT: I forgot to answer the last question.  I’m not positive about what you’re asking here, but I’ll give it a shot.  Though I haven’t been in any romantic relationships yet, it sounds pretty cool, and I like the idea of it except for the sex part, which does not sound like a good time to me.  So, I think that there will be people someday that I do want to be more than friends with.  Sorry if that sounds a bit convoluted.
