Some pictures from last nightâs gig at Farrs, with Cos curating/compering: Miss Collins & The Rude Mechanicals with old songs and new including the brilliant Paperwork (about office job hell) also premiered the new video for it. Gardyloo Spew joined them on sax. ( I didnât recognise her at first, cos of her wig)Â ; Roger 9000 combined classical/sacred vocals with loops and wild percussion. Hypnotique played the theramin - and also improvised with oboe and vocals for a strange silent movie âTrip To The Moon â with Rude Mechanical maverick Cos Chapman, (whose hi tech/ lo-tech gear I had to photograph), bringing guitar/e-bow to the adventure. We were also treated to the marvellous John Callaghan - who gave energetic performances in a number of out-there get-ups. He started his last song in only his underpants. âYouâve seen it all before!â, he quipped. Up till then, I really thought I had.
