Cyberpunk 2077 / Stardew Valley Headcanons (Farmer!V)
- Vera never – in a million years – thought she would see cows outside her bedroom window, let alone look forward to seeing them every morning. But there’s something so soothing about seeing her tiny herd out in the back pasture and wishing them a good morning. And watching their precious calves bouncing around all day long? Even better!
- Pelican Town is only fifteen minutes away from Silverhand Farm. While it doesn’t take Vera and Goro long to drive to the town store, there is something to be said about living in a green valley in the middle of nowhere and having privacy without needing curtains. Vera loves it, but Goro still keeps the curtains closed...gotta’ maintain some privacy even if you’re living in the middle of nowhere.
- Did I mention how much Vera loves her little herd of cows? Vera enjoys a ride in the tractor, but there’s nothing like carefully driving through a pasture of cows that makes her appreciate farming. Raising cattle requires time, dedication, and an understanding of the animal and its needs. Vera and Goro put hundreds of hours of labor into each animal and work every day to ensure their health and well-being. Vera loves seeing happy, healthy cattle grazing on green pastures each summer and watch new calves enter the world each winter.
- Farm life is challenging and exhausting. There is always a fence in need of fixing, equipment to repair, or a project to do. Even when it isn’t “farming season,” there is always something to do. Goro likes to keep himself busy and is constantly scanning the area for any potential threats, setting up traps to keep predators away from the farm animals, and chopping wood. Vera waters the crops, fertilizes the soil with cow manure (it stinks, but it works, so…), feeds the chickens, milks the cows, and goes into town to sell her fresh produce. When you spend most of your life fighting and killing, you take joy in planting seeds, not bullets.
- Nibbles is an integral part of Silverhand Farm. His job is to keep the critter population down, and he is VERY good at his job. The little “gifts” he leaves on Vera’s pillow are proof of that.
- Goro and Vera no longer need to kill. That part of their life is over, and their weapons are tucked away in the deepest, darkest part of the basement. But sometimes, the couple will go into the mines to collect raw materials and do a little monster hunting.
- After a long day of farming, Vera will go down to the beach to fish with Willy or dip her toes in the water. There’s something so soothing about the sound of the waves and the warm sand under her feet.
