I will forever be upset that we didn’t get closure on Riarkle. That Riley, and Farkle are in love, but didn’t get to find that out. D:
I am going to rewatch Girl Meets World. Keep fighting for pluto everyone ^.^ I will always believe in riarkle.
Sometimes when I lie here all I can think about is Riarkle, and how perfect they are.
Riley or Farkle? :)
Farkle, and he is my favorite character on the show. I understand him on a personal level. I’m not a genius, but I have spent a lot of my life not completely understanding feelings. I still struggle sometimes, but I’m learning everyday that it’s okay to feel. Not all of them are going to be bad, or hurt me in the end. That sometimes you have to be the risk taker. I even lost myself for awhile trying so hard to be who I was supposed to be, and I’m still working my way back.
So on top of that he is just an all around wonderful person. He has his flaws, but don’t we all. He thinks he doesn’t know how to love, but he does really well. He worries about all of his friends, and They mean the world to him. I do think he needs to remember that he matters too. That his feelings are important. He’s just a sweet, gentle, and precious soul. He deserves the world, and too be completely happy again. So we need a four so he can finish finding himself so we can see the amazing Farkle we all know he can be!Â
(i’m going to stop though, because I can write a whole paper on why Farkle is my favorite. lol <3) Thank you for the ask. ^^ Also i do love Riley too.

Open letter to Disney Channel and Disney Channel PR
As an adult fan who grew up watching BMW, I was so excited when Disney announced the sequel. It’s is literally the only show we all watch together. I have two sons ranging from 8-14. It speaks to both of them on their own level.
What I love about GMW is that it inspires kids to seek knowledge out of the classroom. For instance we have talked about Shakespeare~Girl meets Truth,Harper Lee and Jane Austin~Girl Meets New Teacher. My kids have asked questions about American Revolution~Girl Meet Game Night, Belgium 1831~Girl Meets Crazy Hat etc., the Battle of Panipat~girl meets stem, slavery and holocost~Girl meets GLONY. It also talks about important issues facing kids today bullying, cyber bullying, etc. We have had true heart to hearts about these issues. While I have boys I like as a nurse, I love that tackled declining interest in stream subjects too. And attached to all these amazing lessons is a beautiful coming of age story that I have laughed and cried with. Riley Farkle Maya Zay Smackle and Lucas deserve to have their story heard. Maya just found hope don’t take away ours: we are in it for the long game because we love these characters like family.

The Movies the Thing
Setting: Abigail Adams High. History Class.
It was Junior year for the clique six at Abigail Adams High.  Two years ago Sarah and her dad had held auditions to cast a movie Sarah had written.  The Hart of the Hunter was premiering tonight, and Katy had been cast in the lead role she was literally born to play.  The whole school was abuzz with excitement.  Farkle’s dad, Stuart, had arranged for a couple of Limos; so they could all arrive to the premier in style.
The class took their usual seats.  On the board it simply said:  Shakespeare.  Farkle shook his head in amazement, “You do know you teach history, Hambone?”  Zay nodded as he chuckled, “Mr. Mathews, you going to relate this to what’s going on in our life?”  Cory put his hand on his heart in feined insult, “I would never…In Shakespeare’s time there were players and jesters that would perform for the royal courts.  They would often enact parts of what was actually happen at the time in the dramatic or a satirical way.  For instance in Hamlet, the melancholy dane used the play to trap the  King and Queen for his father’s murder.  Maya, what did Katy tell you when you wanted to be Riley.”
Maya peered up from her mass of blond waves.  “She said to be careful.  Sometimes when you become someone else you learn a truth about them they may not even know.”  Cory nodded, “You all will be in this movie.  Sarah as writer, as an observer of this class may see a part of your story you haven’t discovered yet.”  As Cory said this he looked intently between Riley and Farkle. Riley sat innocently in her usual chair at the front of the room in her favorite purple sweater dress and orange leggings.  “Oh daddy it’s a movie premier,  and we are all going as friends.  What could possibly go wrong.” Â
Mr.  Mathews sighed.  “Riley believe it or not life sometimes has twists and turns you won’t see coming.”  As he said this Cory once again glanced between Riley and Farkle.  Farkle blurted,  “Farkle always see’s things coming.” Zay contradicted Farkle cautiously, “Except that one time with Red Planet Diaries..Even you didn’t see that comi…”  Farkle erupted like a volcano bubbling over, “We don’t talk about that.  We never talk about that.  We are never mentioning that again.”   Cory nodded in resignation, “Class dismissed.”  Smackle interrupted, “A sir?  There’s 40 minutes still….”  The glass groaned and threw wads of paper.  Undeterred Cory continued to gather up his briefcase, “I said dismissed.”  Riley glanced and Farkle and smiled tonight was going to be great.
Few hours laters at the Mathews appt.
Zay, Lucas, and Farkle arrived to pick up Izzy, Maya and Riley for the premier.  The girls had spent the afternoon getting ready together.  Zay brought Izzy pink sweetheart roses that matched her A-Line dress perfectly.  Farkle got flowers for both Riley and Maya because he had always promised to love them both equally.  For Maya he got yellow roses that complemented her blue sweetheart neckline ball gown well.  He looked expectantly around the mathew’s living room, “Where’s Riley?”
As he said this Riley came floating out of her room.  She wore a purple Cinderella gown with orange roses in a wreath in her hair.  Her hair cascaded in gentle curls framing her face.  Farkle’s breath hitched at the mere sight of her.  He held out  her purple and orange roses he had picked just for her.  Riley skipped up to Farkle; and, Farkle spied her orange ballet slippers. He couldn’t help the smile that broke out on his face.  Riley still hadn’t gotten over her first attempt at high heels, and he loved that even all dressed up she was still his Riley.  Um..Riley..she was still Riley. Â
She looked up at Farkle, “Oh, Farkley!  They are beautiful.  Are they for me?”  Farkle regained his composure quickly, “Of Cour..”
Zay interjected, “Zay time, ouch!”  Zay rubbed his arm and looked poutilly at his girlfriend.  “Hey, just because you two are the genius’ of the group doesn’t mean I don’t know stuff.  I know stuff.  Like he says he loves them both the same but yellow roses mean friendship and purple mean love at fir…”Lucas wrapped his arm around Zay’s mouth saving him from himself.  “Why don’t we save the Botany lesson for later.”  Zay nodded in understanding.  Farkle cleared his throat, and handed the flowers to Riley.  Her answering smile made him gulp.  “They’re perfect Farkley.”
The Movie Premier. Â Sunshine Cinema, New York, USA
Riley and Farkle set next to each other in the theater, because Riley was the only one who didn’t want to kill Farkle when he abruptly shouted out the endings to movies.  In fact Riley hadn’t admitted it to anyone, but she had come to love it.  She started making a game out of trying to figure out the movie before he did.  He usually beat her but occasionally if feelings were involved, Riley would have the upper hand.  At those rare moments, she would usually triumphantly stage whisper the ending to Farkle.
Farkle and Riley sat watching the previews of coming attractions.  They shared popcorn and Swedish fish because Farkle knew it was Riley’s Favorite movie snack.  They both reached into the popcorn at the same time, and ended up grabbing hands.  Riley was glad the theater was already dark; so, Farkle couldn’t see her blush.  In her mind Riley heard the memory of her father talking, “…Which leads to dating, which leads to movies, which leads to popcorn, which leads to putting your hands together in the popcorn, which leads to holding hands.” Riley giggled at the random memory that had flashed before her eyes, and the unexplainable feeling that she was a 7th grade girl with a crush on the cute boy next to her.  She barely heard Farkle’s whispered response, “That is still my favorite sound in the world.”  Riley scrunched her eyebrows together trying to understand these thoughts and feelings that seemed to be rising like the sun on brand new day.
As she sat there with Farkle watching The Hart of the Hunter,  Riley was drawn to Smiley and Farkle Poopy Pants McStupid Head.  She watched silently in awe….. “Farkle…Do you know what’s going to happen…Smiley and Farkle end up together.”  Farkle did a double take in Riley’s direction, “Wh, What?  How could you possibly see that coming?”  Riley smiled, “Because its inevitable.”
Still in the theatre..Movie has ended. Only Farkle and Riley Remain.
Farkle and Riley sat in silence in the empty theater.  Riley could feel Farkle’s tension radiating off him.  “Farkle?”  Farkle shot up and paced in the row.  “I didn’t see that coming.  How could I not see it coming.  Your dad tried to warn us in class.  Riley…I…love you and Maya…equally…”  Farkle abruptly stopped pacing and nervously pulled at his hair with both hands.  Riley stood and grabbed Farkles hands. “Calm down Farkle, or you’re going to pass out.”  She felt his tension relax as she held his hands.  She had never noticed before that she could calm him with just one touch. Â
She tilted her head and smiled.  It had always been Farkle.  She just hadn’t been ready to see it before.  She had thought she wanted the pretty package wrapped with bows and ribbon, but it had been Farkle she had been drawn to all along.  Now she just hoped she was right and he loved her too.
“You never lied Farkle.  You always said you would love us equally.  So, can I ask you a few questions.”  Farkle took a deep breath steadying himself and nodded for Riley to continue.  “What is 5+5?”  Farkle eye narrowed in confusion, “Riley you want a math lesson now?  I thought we were more important to you than that?”  Riley squeezed Farkles hands and stepped closer never looking away from his eyes.  “Do you trust me Farkley?”  Farkle’s, “Always,” left his mouth instantly.  Riley beamed, “Good than what is 5+5?”  Farkle still looked confused but answered tentatively, “10?”  Riley nodded, “And what is 7+3”  Farkle gasped, “10.”  Riley stepped closer to Farkle, “So you would agree both equations are equal but not the same.”  Farkle’s smile made Riley’s breath hitch, “Why Ms. Mathew’s maybe you are a killer shark lawyer after all…but I don’t even think I know what love is.  How do I know if I love you?”
Riley put her arms around Farkles neck, “All I know is you and I belong together.  I have always wanted to be around you and make you laugh.  Always. Always wanted to take care of you.”  Farkle wrapped his arms around Riley’s waste and she felt whole.  “Is that what love means…Riley.  I love you too.”  Riley tilted her head and leaned in whispering, “I was hoping you did.”  They kissed and the house lights dimmed in the theater.  They both knew their story hadn’t begun there; It was when they were six and a princess found her hero…

trigger warning adoption/abandonement
Farkle grew up the only son of Stuart and Jen Minkus.  He had everything that money could buy, but life at home at the Minkus estate could be lonely.  If Minkus International was in the middle of come major business venture, his dad would be MIA for days.  Farkle promised himself, he would be a different type of father when the time came.  Stuart’s answer to his quilt was always some new shiny toy, but what Farkle really wanted was time with his father. Even when they were all together, his parents fought a lot of the time.  His friends talked about family game nights, those never existed as his house. Farkle slowly learned the things in the life that held the highest value rarely carried a price tag.
His freshman year at Einstein Academy the history teacher assigned them to learn their personal histories; for a cultural fair they were partnering with Abigail Adams High School.  Farkle couldn’t find the birth records for his Great Grandpa Minkus.  The lessons he learned that day changed the course of Farkle’s life.  He had always wanted to take over the world, but that day he learned what happened when one man had too much power.  He will never know his family’s original name, because all but his great grandpa were annihilated in the Holocaust.  Birth records were destroyed for his protection, when christian rescuers saved him and relocated him to America. Â
It was that day, he told his father that it wasn’t enough to make money and not give back.  Stuart introduced Farkle to the pro bono division of Minkus International, and let him take an active role on where funds would go from that point forward. Â
One of Farkle’s favorite projects was assisting with orphanages around the world, especially in war torn countries.  Minkus International helped supply necessities, assisted with finding children safe homes, and even transportation out of their country if needed.  Farkle frequently traveled to some of these places himself, to help transport the children or deliver supplies.Â
It was on one of these missions that Farkle met Soleil.  She was 8 months old with blonde ringlet curls.  He had looked over all the files of the children up for adoption before the trip.  He knew he hadn’t seen her.  When Farkle inquired why, the director replied her health concerns would be too much for most families.  People were looking for the perfect child.  To Farkle, she looked perfect.
The director explained Soleil’s mom had died giving birth to her.  She had a congentital heart defect that would require a few surgeries to correct, and her biological father had dropped her off at the orphanage and never looked back.  Farkle felt like the little girl in front of him was all alone in the world. Â
Farkle looked at the little girl, he noticed her lips were slightly blue.  As he watched her, she reached out and grabbed his finger.  That’s when Farkle knew that feelings were stronger than science.  Farkle called his parents, and told them he was adopting her.  Jen contacted the lawyers right away.  Since Minkus international had assisted the orphanage with so many adoptions, they were able to cut through the red tape. So Farkle could take, Soleil, as he had come to call her home with him.
His long term girlfriend Isadora was suprised he had adopted a child.  She understood why these trips mean so much to Farkle, but that didn’t mean to she was ready to be a mom at this point in her life.  Isadora and Farkle had dated all through high school and were known as the power couple of Einstein academy.  They were valedictorian and salutatorian respectfully.  It was always assumed they would get married because that was the next natural progression.  Isadora sighed, “Did you even consider me when you made this choice?”  Farkle had looked back at the beautiful girl in front of him, “Honestly, no.”  Isadora nodded solemnly, “Farkle part of me will always love you, but I need to be with someone who considers me part of the equation.”  She he kissed him on the cheek as she left.  He never went after her, because he knew she was right.
Soleil’s first few years were spent in and out of the hospital for surgeries to correct her congenital heart defect.  Farkle and Soleil spent many a day in the hospital reading, watching fairy tales and studying astronomy.  Soleil’s favorite fairy tail had become Shrek.  She always giggle when they named one of the triplets Farkle.  Farkle liked that she loved the unlikely hero.   He was able to get Soleil the best surgeons and doctors, and the surgery had been a success.  She had been off all meds for a while, and just had to go in for regular check ups every 6 months or so. Â
Today was Soleil’s first day of kindergarten, and Farkle was beyond nervous.  Of course every parent is on their child’s first day of school, but Soleil had always been at the employee day care at Minkus International.  This was the longest amount of time they would be apart.  Stuart and Jen had wanted Soleil to go to Farkle’s Alma Mater Einstein Academy, but Farkle had insisted she go to John Quincy Adams to get better socialization then he did.
Farkle walked up the steps with his daughter prepared to escort her to her classroom.  “Daddy, I got this! I will see you after school.” He knelt and kissed her on the cheek.  “See you later, sunshine.  I can’t wait to hear all about your first day of school.”  He watched misty eyed as his ray of sunshine skipped happily into her first day of school. Â
...Later that day about 11 am...
Farkle was straightening his desk preparing to leave, when his secretary buzzed in.  “Mr. Minkus..”  He interrupted her inpatiently.  “Rhonda, I have told you Mr. Minkus is my father call me Farkle.  Now, I’m sorry but is this urgent? I need to get Soleil.”  Rhonda replied tritely, “I’m sorry sir but your father has called an emergency meeting of POOM(Project Outpost on Mars).  Minkus International’s research division was working on the technology needed to make this possible.  Farkle’s team science and engineering was heading the research and development.  He knew he had no choice but to stay.  Farkle silently cursed his fathers single-mindedness when it came to work, as he sent a quick email to Soleil’s new teacher Ms. Mathews. Â
Luckily, Farkle was able to answer the boards concerns fairly easily. Â He just had to wait to see how much money Minkus International planned to allocate to POOM. Â He took his leave, after Stuart promised he would call with the figures.
Back at John Quincy Adams...
As he ran up the stairs two by two, he hoped Soleil wasn’t upset he was late to get her the first day of school.  He breathed a sigh of relief, when he saw her in her seat contentedly coloring. Â
As he looked up from his daughter, the most beautiful women he had ever seen turned into his view.  She was the most breathtaking sunrise and sunset all rolled into one.  As she spun, the toe of her foot hooked the rug.  Farkle sped up his steps, and quickly caught her before she could fall.  She looked slightly dazed but unharmed.  As he held her, he realized he felt whole.  The thought terrified him a little.  Her whisper reached his ears, “You saved me.”  He chuckled nervously as he stepped back, “Are you ok?”  The emptiness almost consumed him, when let her go.
He felt relieved when Soleil grabbed his hand, tethering him back to reality.  “Daddy this is my teacher, Ms. Mathews.  She is amazing.  You are going to love her.”  Farkle wanted to scream I think I already do, but knew that was completely illogical.  Farkle picked up his daughter and kissed her cheek.  “Hi, Sunshine.”  He reached out a hand to Ms. Mathews I am Farkle Minkus.  Its nice to meet you.”  He was amazed she didn’t laugh at his name, and that made him fall a little harder.  He watched silently as she blushed as their hands touched.  She seemed flustered as she rambled and flitted around the room like a humming bird. Â
As they spoke of unique names, Riley affectionately ruffled Soleil’s hair.  Farkle gasped slightly at the beauty and innocence of the moment.  He knew Riley had caught the hitch in his breath, when she tilted her head to study him.  He got lost in her gaze a moment to long, and Riley suddenly cleared her throat bringing him back to reality.  She made her excuses to take her leave.  Riley chitchatted about getting tacos with her roommate, and Farkle wished he had the courage to invite her to lunch with Soleil and himself.
Farkle shook himself out of his stupor.  “Of course.  Soleil, I took the rest of the day off.  We just have to pick up a few packages for my office...Good bye Ms. Mathews. Pleasure to meet you.”  He saluted her as he turned to leave, and then mentally slapped himself.  What was that you saluted her, some genius.
Farkle made sure Soleil buckled up before pulling out of the lot.  He listened contentedly as she chattered excitedly about the adventure of her first day.  The traffic was unusually light for New York, and they arrived quickly at Maya’s apartment.  “Ok Soleil a quick stop to get the Pluto and Mars paintings we picked out for my office; and then we’ll head to lunch.”
Maya opened the door.  “Oh great your here.  I framed them with the purple and orange matting we discussed.”  Farkle nodded assertively.  “Perfect my secretary Rhonda wired the money to your account.”  Suddenly Soleil ran off, as Farkle turned to  scold her.  She returned hand in hand with Riley.  She was in purple leggings, had pluto on her shirt, and an orange cardigan.  Seeing her made Farkle feel like he already left Earth and landed on Mars.  He couldn’t stop the smile that broke out on his face at seeing his girls together.  When Riley’s smile matched his he had to fight the urge to hold her.
Maya turned to see what Farkle was staring at.  “Great your ready.  Riley this is Farkle Minkus, he is buying my Plutos meets Mars Pieces, Mr. Minkus this ...” Maya stopped the intro abruptly and suddenly looked to Farkle, “Oh Farkly, now I...”Riley stomped not too subtly on Maya’s foot.  Farkle tried to hide his smirk with a cough.  Recovering quickly Maya Sputtered, “Mr. Minkus, Soleil, we are getting tacos want to come?”  Soleil grabbed his hand,  “Can we daddy, Please?”
He looked at his daughter one had in his and and the other in Riley’s; and Farkle felt at home for the first time in his life.  “No place I would rather be.”
Maya crouched next to Soleil.  “Piggy back ride, Sunshine?”  Both Soleil and Riley giggled, and Farkle knew he had discovered his favorite sound in the world.  Riley and Farkle walk slightly behind Maya and Soleil.  There was a comfortable silence, til Farkle’s phone rang.  Seeing it was Stuart, Farkle fell back to take the call.
The board has approved POOM.  All systems go.  Farkle thanked his dad and hung up, without hesitation Farkle hugged Riley and spun her in circles.  Her giggle caused his heart to pitter patter in his chest.  Even when he set her down, he couldn’t bring himself, to let her go.  “The board approved my project, we are working towards Mars habitation.”  Riley smiled, “That’s amazing, Farkley.”  He loved that she had a nickname for him already.  He searched her eyes, “Really, you think so?”  Riley nodded enthusiastically, “Yeah, who wouldn’t want to me the first man or woman on mars?”  As she said this she bit her lip.  Losing all control Farkle kissed her, under a maple tree in a shower of red leaves.  As he broke away she breathed, “POOM.”
It struck him like lightening, that was the acronym for his mars project.  He kissed her forehead.  “Where have you been my whole life?”  Riley settled into him.  “I have always been here seeking Pluto~waiting for you...”  They walked hand and hand the rest of the way to catch up with Maya and Soleil.
