i think it's very disturbing how many queens and fans have absolutely shown their asses when it comes to this shangela situation. i do not use this term lightly, but it has been legitimately triggering to read that there "are no victims" because she hasn't been found guilty in a court of law.
at this point, they are flagrantly ignoring statistics of how much the legal system fails survivors - especially in america - because shangela is their friend or someone they stan. it's fucking vile.
they continue to try and draw a picture where she is being targeted for being a famous black and queer entertainer; but i would argue the much clearer picture here is that she used her power to target vulnerable individuals. as serial rapists tend to do.
it is not a "witch hunt" - an event that killed multiple innocent women btw. she has multiple completely unrelated accusers, multiple who DID file police reports. the police finding insufficent evidence, does not an innocent person make.
that is all to say, atp i have zero fucking respect for anyone who still associates with that absolute monster. but in a really disturbing, unfortunate way this has outed a lot of rape sympathisers at least.
