Yorktown was a lot bigger than expected. Its arms and archs each held sprawling cities with their own gravitational fields; for being the size of a planetoid, it could hold a much larger population. It shouldn’t have been surprising that he had been pointed towards various security offices by now. Still, he was getting weary.

A noise had alerted her to someone at her door, wanting her up, at god know’s what hour. Not that it was particularly strange. The Enterprise had a nasty habit of finding itself in danger more times than she cared to acknowledge. When the door opened, the sleepy woman wasn’t even surprised to see Avril standing there, even if she was a bit shocked that Avril had chosen her to come to.

There’s a chance when I have more time spoons, I gut my drafts.... I will touch base with people before I drop anything, but I’d like to cut down on that count.
