Surgeon starts using a bone saw

I think I’ll set aside one day this week strictly for writing. I gotta get back on this horse. I’m tired of looking at that goddamn blinking cursor.

1- Forget Me Not 

I just always wanted to write an angsty fic with Remus thinking he needs to Obliviate  Sirius so he can have a happier life but damn it Sirius just keeps on falling for him anyway!

Eyes stinging, Remus reached forward, cupping Sirius’ chin with his hand.  He pressed a thumb to Sirius’ lips, not wanting to hear him speak, not sure he could bear it.  Instead he leaned forward, telling himself it would be the last kiss, savoring each moment.  And with his free hand, Remus reached down, quietly taking hold of his wand and muttering a single word against hungry lips.

“Obliviate.”

2-  The Spy 

I love the idea of how Sirius would react to confronting Remus for being the spy so I played with that concept 

“How long have you known?” Remus said, straightening his back, regaining some semblance of control in this newly established chaos.

Initially Sirius didn’t answer. Instead the other man looked him over, studied him, laid Remus bear with only his gaze. Remus simply stared back. Defiant. Unapologetic.

“Two weeks,” Sirius finally said, watching Remus for a reaction. And react he did. They’d hooked up six times times within that fortnight. Twice at a club, once in the darkness of an alley, and three times here at Sirius’ flat. How could Sirius do this, fuck him, hold him after and make plans to do so again knowing what he was?

“So what are you going to do with me?” Remus asked.

3- The Boy in the Bordello

My favorite recent work, I just adore Regency/Victorian AUs so this was born

“What a sharp tongue you have,” Lupin remarked before a small smile graced his lips, making his dimples all the more pronounced. “But obviously no. I cannot go to my peers, nor so my rather conservative family. And due to your profession being both one of secrets and also central to this issue…”

“And that issue being?” Sirius asked.

“I find myself increasingly attracted to men.”

“Shocking,” Sirius interrupted.

4- Counting Stars

This is my longest story so far and I’m very proud of it though it also makes me very sad because I wrote it for a dear friend who is no longer in the fandom.  I wanted to play with how broken they both are after PoA and I have plans to finish it but it’s bittersweet (writing it, not the story itself)

“Something wrong?” Sirius asked warily.

What wasn’t wrong? Remus thought to himself. The only thing right in the world was that Sirius was finally here with him.

“No, it’s just...I haven’t seen you in so long. You still look so much the same, even after... everything.”

Sirius furrowed his brow and gave a sad smile. “I know what you mean. When we were writing letters, I still pictured you as I last saw you, well before last year that is...in your twenties,” he reached out a hand towards Remus’ face but pulled back before he touched him, “less scars.”

I’m halfway done with my first chapter (around 10K) and it's before the main scene in the entire chapter.
