Orange Pikmin: Orange Pikmin are larger and stronger, but slower than winged pikmin. They also have better endurance, being able to fly for days at a time. The markings on their wings are meant to mimic orange bulborbs, which does fool some predators.

Masked Pikmin: Masked pikmin are fast and have small claws that help them climb and fight! Unlike most other pikmin, they tend to hibernate in their onions all winter long. As they are one of few carnivorous pikmin, this means they spend their falls hunting prey and foraging for the few plant species they can consume. They’ll eat a few small meals each day.

Luminous Pikmin: These small cave dwellers are able to live their entire lives without ever seeing the sun - the light from glowcaps are plenty enough for them to life off of! They do need to sleep longer than other pikmin, though, often sleeping nearly twelve to thirteen hours a day. Their glowing is involuntary and constant, so they’ll cover themselves in clay when they need to hide it.

Mantis Pikmin: They're some of the strongest pikmin out there in terms of combat! However, their oddly shaped arms can make carrying larger items a challenge. They're most active at dawn and dusk, hunting creatures going to and fro their nests and ensuring any other pikmin types in their crop are getting home or heading out safely.

Wooly Pikmin: Wooly Pikmin are small and fuzzy! They can withstand the cold better than any other species. Their claws help them in battle, but are primary used to climb ice and rock. They like to decorate their manes with odd bits and bobs that they find. Unlike most pikmin, they're nocturnal, taking advantage of the fact most of their predators won’t brave the frigid nights of their native habitats.

Flytrap Pikmin: Flytrap Pikmin (commonly just called Flytraps) are one of a few carnivorous species of pikmin. They have pit organs to help them sense heat. Their modified leaf cannot bloom into a flower, but it can be used to bite enemies and hold small objects. They’ll eat one or two massive meals a month, otherwise able to run on just sunlight.

Fuchsia Pikmin: This arboreal species hardly ever sees the ground. They can wrap their long stems around tree branches and hang around for hours. They also have the best distance sight, often dropping in on enemies from far above. However, their specialized leafs cannot bloom into flowers. Their onions hide away in tree hollows, wherein the Fuchsia Pikmin will bring decaying plant matter to eventually decay into soil. Rare trips to the forest floor usually entail gathering soil.

Horned Pikmin: These pikmin are actually iridescent, able to shine a rainbow of colors in sunlight! Their dull horns can leave nasty bruises after charging at an enemy. Unlike most other pikmin, they're nocturnal. They’re in need of the most development as of now lol.

Clawed Pikmin: Clawed Pikmin can survive the heat better than most pikmin, beaten out only by the outright fire-resistant red pikmin! Clawed pikmin have, as the name implies, large claws which they use mainly for constructing their underground burrows. Still, they help these nimble pikmin hit rather hard. As a species of predatory pikmin, they’ll eat a few large meals every week.

Mud Pikmin: Mud Pikmin are covered in a thick, brown, mud-like mucus. While it can slow them down some, it also slows down larger foes considerably. Smaller creatures suffocate quickly within it.

Dolphin Pikmin: Also called Dolphmin for short, these predatory pikmin are the true rulers of the deep sea! However, they can stay on land for only week long periods before drying out. They're the strongest aquatic pikmin. As a species of predatory pikmin, they’ll eat one or two massive meals a month.
