Cyan Pikmin: The Ice Pikmin. This pikmin have wider feet (like polar bears) with small hooks that allow them to walk on ices while other pikmin will slip and slide. The hooks on their feet also prevent them from monsters shaking them off. While you might be able to navigate your pikmin sliding around, cyan pikmin are defiantly the only pikmin that are able to carry items on ice.

Lime Pikmin: The Acid Pikmin. Curiously, this pikmin seems to be closer related to the white pikmin than other pikmin although, they aren't poisonous nor poison resistant. This pikmin's acid glands are stored in their cheeks turning them purple. This acid can be projected out at a short range allowing them to keep a bit of distance to their predators. The acid this pikmin spits can also melt certain metals that may block your path; think walls that only certain pikmin can take down. Like mentioned above they don't get on top of enemies and wail on them, they instead keep a small distance and spit acid at them.

Brown Pikmin: The Camouflage Pikmin. This pikmin, who is a bit smaller in stature, seem to not like fighting and won't attack enemies that can hurt them back. Instead they elect to bury themselves in the ground when a something hostile approaches them. They have sharp claw fingers that allow them to do this. Brown pikmin are the perfect pikmin to carry back items to your ship since even if they past by an enemy they will just burrow under ground until they leave, then go right back to taking the item back home. They can dig out paths for other pikmin to latter pass by. Like mentioned before, they won't attack enemies that will hurt them, but enemies like mitites who don't hurt your pikmin, but instead causes them to panic will not scare brown pikmin.
