Lun feels like my mom in some way

How this ask had me:

• Does feddy start playing in the nhl right after getting drafted or does he play in the ncaa first? Also does he live with any of the vets on his team?

• Does geno announce to the public that he's retiring before the start of his last season or does he kinda just not bring it up until march/april?

• Is sid aware of the fact that he has a geno face? What does he do when he feels full to the brim with how much he loves geno?

1. Feddy goes to tanger for advice. Obv sid and geno have their uses, but tanger's there to say, look kid, i get it, those two are super super weird 🐱 plus tanger was a d-man — he's the only one who understands that particular pressure and can help feddy work through some nhl stress/anxiety etc 🏒

Feddy also speaks french with tanger ☺️☺️ — he picked it up easily at school 🇨🇦

2. I've gotta decide if feddy goes to college or not! I think he's a smart kid, so maybe that's a conversation they have as a family...i think both sidgeno would like him to go to college, maybe secretly or not so secretly 😅 but Feddy's certainly capable of going right into the nhl 🌟

As for living with vets, ima keep this quiet for now ☺️

3. Re Geno's retirement, i think part of him would love to just announce he was retiring after his final game to avoid all the fuss, press etc. But everyone kinda fingures that the fans/the city deserve to know that it's their last chance to see their legend play 😭😭😭

It's Geno's knee that kinda forces the decision in Tell me what you need, so at least he's got something to blame, but i think really he feels done. He's played an awful lot of hockey at that point 💘

Ofc his final game is very emotional, as is his jersey retirement ceremony, which is held at the start of the next season (Sid's last). I like to think sid is a bit of a mess over this. Geno's been there by his side for 20 years — sid really hates walking out last that whole final year 🥺🥺🥺

4. Personally, i love the idea that sid has zero awareness of the geno face — he just wonders why other people (tanger, flower, duper, his mom etc) laugh at him so often.

He feels v relaxed around geno which is good for him bc he's always got a lot on his shoulders. I think being in love with geno stimulates his nerdy side bc he gets all excited about interesting things to show/tell geno about. He also puts himself to work making his house nice for geno (so geno will stay 😅). Sid's love language is service, so he might cook some russian comfort food or wash Geno's car when he's feeling particularly besotted 🥰

Outwardly, he's smiley and bouyant — geno just makes him happy. He always did.
