a/n: Here is my CS Secret Santa gift for fandomflail! I chose one of your prompts and I really hope you like it! Warning: I have never been to a waxing technician so this is all pretty much based on what I think it would be like. So if anyone reading this has been to one, or works as one, I'm sorry for anything I've written that is completely and utterly false. ;)
Prompt: Killian loses a bet to Will & Robin and his punishment is a full bikini wax. Emma is a waxing technician that can't believe it when Killian asks her out on a date after his wax is complete.
Emma is just finishing up with one of her regular customers, a woman in her eighties that probably should have stopped coming in here twenty years ago, when she hears the telltale jingle of the bell above the door.
What's abnormal about the jingle is that it's followed by three distinctly male voices and Emma sighs as she holds out her hand to help old Mrs. Johnson off of the table.
"What's wrong dear?" The woman asks and Emma shakes her head in annoyance as she motions to the front room with her hand.
"A bet," Emma says confidently and Mrs. Johnson gives her a quizzical look. "The only time we get a group of men in here is when one of them lost a bet. But the girls that work here have a little tradition. Anytime a man loses a bet, we take a shot to commemorate the occasion."
Mrs. Johnson lets out a giggle and Emma can't help the grin that crosses her face. "Well then let's go see what you're up against today, shall we?"
They walk side by side into the lobby and Emma is taken back to see three very handsome men standing in front of the counter. One man is standing behind the other two and Emma would bet dollars to donuts that he's the loser in this scenario.
He also happens to be the most gorgeous man she's ever laid eyes on.
"Okay, so my buddy here is going to need the full wax. We're talking everything." The shortest man in the front is motioning towards the guy in the back and Emma watches in amusement as her receptionist Ruby rolls her eyes and marks their names down on a piece of paper.
"Have a seat," Ruby says, gesturing towards the waiting area. "Your technician will be with you shortly."
It's then that the man, the poor man that will have endure pain like he's never felt, makes eye contact with her and for a brief moment a smile flickers over his expression. She's not the type to blush over a good looking man but she can feel her face heat up slightly as she says goodbye to Mrs. Johnson and heads over to Ruby.
"What do we have?" Emma asks and Ruby sighs as she hands her the notepad in front of her.
"Will and Robin over there have signed their friend Killian up for a full bikini wax," Ruby says as she chews loudly on her gum. "Another poor sap that lost a bet is my guess. Guess we'll get to take an extra shot at the bar tonight."
"This out to be fun," Emma whispers before turning to the now seated group of men. "Killian? You're up."
The man stands and turns to flip off his friends before following Emma into one of the back rooms.
"You know," Killian starts and Emma is surprised to hear the lilt of an accent in his voice. "We could just tell my mates that I had this done. No reason to actually go through with it."
Emma rolls her eyes as she heats up the wax. "Do you honestly think they won't ask to check?" She laughs at the horrified look on Killian's face. "It's really not that bad. Women do this every day."
"Women also give birth but you don't see me asking to go through that type of pain." Killian looks around awkwardly. "What do I do now?"
"Strip," Emma says easily and she snickers as Killian grimaces before unbuckling his jeans. She's almost afraid to look, because while she's waxed many men in her years as a technician none have been quite this good looking. When he's undressed, a white towel around his waist, she motions for him to lay down on the table next to her. "Are you ready?"
Killian considers this for a moment before he nods. "Yeah, of course. How bad can it be right?"
Emma snorts as she grabs the pot of heated wax, carefully removing the white towel to start applying it to Killian's...nether regions.
"Bloody hell," Killian grits out when the hot wax hits his skin. "I'm going to kill those two for this."
"So what was the bet anyways?" Emma asks as she reaches for a cloth strip. She knows from experience that if the customer is distracted the pain will be far less worse.
"How'd you know it was a bet?" Killian asks and Emma raises an eyebrow and he nods. "A stupid work thing," he says, his teeth clamped tight as she presses the strip against the wax. "We work in sales and the person with the lowest sales at the end of the quarter had to come here."
"Lucky me," Emma says with a smirk as she holds one end of the strip tightly. "Ready? I...2...." She rips the strip up at two and Killian lets out a shriek.
"Good god, woman!" He yells and Emma can hear the laughter of his friends from outside. "That was..."
"Not fun?" Emma guesses as she applies another strip of wax. "No worries, only a few more to go."
He's practically in tears by the time she's finished, and she steps back to momentarily admire her work.
"I think we're done," she says as she grabs a bottle off of the shelf behind her. "Apply this daily, it'll help with the itching. And no sex for at least two days."
What she doesn't expect is the wicked look that crosses his eyes. "Well that's a bloody shame, isn't it?"
"Yeah, well it's for the best. Trust me. Also, stick with cold showers for a day or two. After that, you'll be right as rain."
"So two days and I'll be ready for anything?" He asks and Emma nods. "So what say you and I go out to dinner that night? You know, to celebrate?"
Emma almost drops the pot of wax that she's holding and looks at him in surprise. "Are you seriously asking me out right now?"
Killian shrugs. "Well, why not? You've already seen my uh...naughty bits. Might as well have some dinner, make it official."
"I don't date customers," she says with a smile and he laughs.
"I was sort of dragged here and technically I didn't pay. So, would I really be considered a customer?"
Emma considers this for a moment and he grins when she nods. "Yeah, okay. Here," she scribbles her number on a pad of paper and hands it to him once she's torn it off. "Call me in two days."
Killian winks at her as he buttons his flannel shirt back up. "Aye, two days. I'm looking forward to it."
His friends are laughing and clapping him on the back when he steps back into the lobby and Emma feels that rush of heat again when he holds up his hand in a wave on the way out.
"What was that about?" Ruby asks as she reaches for her purse, Killian being the last customer of the day and their next stop being their favorite watering hole.
"We're going out," Emma says in amusement and Ruby looks at her in surprise.
"You're going out? With Baldy?"
It makes them both laugh hard as they wrap their scarves around their necks and head out into the cold December night.
The warmth of the whiskey she takes a shot of later is nothing compared to the warmth she felt when she looked at Killian and she's glad that she's full of excitement tonight instead of regret.
After all, it takes some serious courage to ask a woman out when you are naked with tears in your eyes.
