10.3.17// Status of my Paper: 3676 / 6000 Words Today was a pretty busy day, nevertheless I wrote a lot and I feel so high! I worked in the Universitätsbibliothek in the morning and brought back the last books - I don´t need more research -, I had lunch with my college friends, we chitchatted cheerfully, then I worked at my paper almost till library closing time. I want to be done with it at the end of the next week ...and I have to! My mother is coming and I want to be free (I´ve been dreaming of our shopping together since a month!).

23.2.17// Campus library day. Love those big windows and the long tables where you can spread all your stuff on. I´m currently working at my Paper on “wir schlafen nicht” by Kathrin Röggla. I finished the “novel” and I´m starting to write from...tomorrow on. In the meantime, I also wrote a Wiki article for my seminar on Postmodern novel and I´m quite happy I´m done with it. Time is running out and I need to focus on my paper NOW.

8.3.17// Good day for my writing but I'm so damned slowly! And I also had lunch with some uni friends, we chatted a lot, we had coffee and “Mohnkuchen” - poppy seeds cake, apparently quite popular here in DE - , we had such a nice time but my writing is suffering. I know, I know, students should treat themselves and don´t forget social life but I´m counting the days brokenly and it makes me so sick. 6000 Words in 10 days. LET´S DO THIS!  

20.3.17// going through the last corrections into my paper. Today I want to send the PDF to my Prof and I´m going to hand the paper copy over. I´m fricking out because there are some little details I didn´t notice before and now I´m correcting the last version and I´m full of doubts. I´m hating this, I want to be done and just change topic asap. 

16.3.17// Researching on my next topic: écriture féminine in Elena Ferrante’s “L’amica geniale” / “my brilliant friend”. I have to go through some feminist literary theory and critics and by now it sounds like fun!    

3.2.17// long and quite productive day. I had an intense seminar in the morning and I´m quite satisfied with my speaking. Then I had a long study session in the library (from 2 pm to 7 pm), I´m so deep into my readings, I´m working on Röggla´s Essenpoetik Essays and it´s just the beginning. Next week I want to collect all my readings so that I can start building a bibliography and writing my paper. I also found an awesome Spotify playlist, so calming, inspiring, so good for focusing!  Soundtrack: Intense Studying playlist on Spotify 

9.3.17// Status of my Paper: 2862 / 6000 Words  Pretty good days for my writing. I finished the first Chapter, I sent it to my proofreader (she’s sweet and I really need someone to check my german ) and I´m starting the second Chapter. Feeling very confident, for the 17th March I want to be done with this. And yes, I´m smuggling some juicy red apple, although food is forbidden in the library. 

11.3.17// Status of my Paper: 4650 / 6000 Words Pretty relaxed day and though very productive! I had my yoga practice in the morning, met my tandem partner for a cozy coffee (he looks exactly like Ed Sheeran!), skyped with my family and worked at my paper for the rest of the day. I said, I was done with research but I actually found a very interesting interview to K. Röggla and I couldn´t resist. Snack of the day: miso soup, wakame salad, steamed rice bowl topped with mixed sashimi and ginger.
