I see a lot of speculation that S3 will cold open with the Fall and-- maybe!
But I always see it referred to as Crowley's Fall, and tbh I think that singles him out too much.
We're told in S1 that the armies of Heaven and Hell are equal-- 10 million angels vs 10 million demons. Which means 10 million angels were deemed rebels and were cast out.
With those kind of numbers, I think it's likely that more angels than not were thrown out for arbitrary reasons, for "just asking questions" or something similar. I don't think we're meant to see Crowley's Fall as uniquely unjust and that he didn't deserve it while all the other rebels did. I think the point is that it was unjust and cruel to do to all of them.
As Crowley says in Eden, "bit of an overreaction if you ask me. I mean, first offense and everything." We also see God describe Herself as a poker player who plays for infinite stakes, who won't tell you the rules. The rebel angels were never told the rules, but they were given a permanent punishment for breaking them anyway, dividing the angels into Good and Bad, forever. When Crowley says he's "unforgivable," that's what he means. It's not about self esteem, it's that he's been given the label of Evil and he can never change it.
Our sympathies are with Crowley because he is our main character, but I think we have to remember he wasn't singled out for punishment-- this was happening to ALL the rebels, possibly all at the same time, and I think it would be a mistake to show only Crowley.
A Ninjago Legends: Monstrosity Theory
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Alright, so I’ve heard chatter regarding this particular moment in the trailer for Monstrosity:
Now, while others have speculated that this mural could foreshadow Kai somehow becoming part insect or otherwise come to blows with a giant centipede, I’d like to bring something up I haven’t seen anyone else mention or comment on, that being the fact that legends detailing giant centipedes are actually a part of Japanese mythology.
Specifically, I am referring to the relatively obscure yōkai called the Ōmukade. As the legends explain, the Ōmukade was an utterly massive centipede with legs that looked like lit torches that was so long it was capable of wrapping around entire mountains several times over. Moreover, these massive beasts were said to prey on humans, despite human saliva being a major weakness to it. It should also be noted that the Ōmukade was also noted as being so powerful and vicious that they were also capable of hunting, killing, and eating dragons.
Now, while most people have been focusing on the nightmarish situation Kai has found himself in after The Merge, I can’t help but wonder if the mini-series will have a far reaching effect on the greater story outside of what happens to Kai. Like, I get that season 3 of Dragons Rising has established what seems to be the overarching villain going forward, but I can’t help but wonder if events that will be shown in Monstrosity could allude to yet another existential threat posed to the Source Dragons and the Merged Lands as a whole, quite possibly with Kai himself serving as the epicenter of this threat in some form or fashion.
I get that this theory is next to completely baseless and it’s unlikely that an Ōmukade will actually show up let alone factor into the broader series. Whatever the case, I’m leaving this here for anyone that’s interested and I’m more than happy to hear what other people have to say about this.
Newbie theorists, I am holding your hands and pleading: As you make your theories, ask yourself what they would add to the story if true. Because I've seen so many theorists run in a completely different direction than where the text is leading them and then they get mad when the story doesn't follow those paths.
I'm procrastinating on my work and drawing Alastor having fun (based on a theory by @/paperrabbit13.bsky.social on BlueSky where she was speculating on Al eventually taking on his demonology namesake's function and becoming the devil's executioner)
Edit to add some context and some doodles I made yesterday exploring it:
Here’s the link to the theory:
🚨ALERT! #SPOILERS🚨 Minor spoilers for “BIAAB.” Why? Bc the Al theory I have had since S1 and where my idea for my fanfic came from. And S2

Ok ok ok.
Finished Cult of the Lamb (right in time for the next update)
And now I got all these thoughts.
Like the bishops?
People are already doing so much interesting stuff with Narinder, so I got nothing new there. But the others?
Leshy is interestingly enough the most elaborate and thoughtful of them, the snippet about his crown was almost poetic.
Kallarmar however, he really surprised me. Based on his previous behavior, and what the others said (including ???) I had expected a frightened sniveling crybaby, not this calm sassy thing. Not only does he seems to be the most accepting of their new life, he is super calm and friendly with the lamb.
Then I realized.... Oh. Kallarmar has already gone through his worst nightmare. He has already died, multiple times. And since the lamb has done no new harm to him, he has no real reason to fear as long as he is a good little follower. (helps that he got the absolute cutest voice) Oh yeah, and the fact that not only does he claim he was pressured into helping with binding Narinder, but also that his relic summons a skeleton - one that seems very clearly to be based on Narinder?? I have thoughts.
And Heket? Heket seems angry, but reluctingly accepting of her new life. And I realized, after what happened with Shamura, Heket was the one keeping the bishops together. For a thousand years, she was the only real thing holding up the old faith. Shamura too wounded to handle it. Leshy too young and well, chaotic. Kallarmar just wanting to hide away in his temple. She must have been under so much pressure. And she is the next youngest in the group!
Shamura is just such a tragic character. I had expected them to be more damaged without their crown, but seeing how disoriented and stuck in memories and half addled thought they are? Damn.
When I gave them the spider silk their reaction was a gut punch. I had this clear mental image of them running the silk though their fingers, mumbling to themselves, barely aware of the lamb.
Ugh, I really hope Sins of the flesh gives more lore. I got all these feels.
I like to think the Lan women have crazy genetics, so if Lan Wangji or Lan Xichen were a women, they'd be VERY stacked but in a proportional way ykwim? (aka big booba)
DO YOU FEEL ME? LIKE REALLY HEAR ME OUT.
How I think Rain World iterator puppets work because I'm insane about this game and it means so much to me (With Moon as the example) (excuse any science mistakes, this is just for fun)
