Hello all, what I have here is a little bit of photography from a recent painting session where I am working to capture the likeness of the incomparable Melissa Villasenor, a master impressionist, comedienne, and cast member of Saturday Night Live. That sketch at the top of the post is just something I cracked off in about ten minutes, rubbing the pencil around to get a liitle bit of form and likeness. The painting is on a sheet of 12 x 16 inches, or 30.4 x 40.6 cm, and I was really playing hunt-and-peck with tones and values, just having fun pushing the paint around, and by the end of the session, after adjusting proportions and colours constantly (I was just having some portrait fun on account of being in landscape mode recently) I’ve got about 75% of the way done, but I couldn’t help myself, I wanted to share some pictures - especially of that delicious fan brush. Once it’s tacked up a bit I’m going in for the finish
This is a Fan Brush Takes 4 swings to splat your opponents. Even though the brush isn't as fast as an Inkbrush, the Inkstorm can back it up to cover more ground. The range is slightly better than a regular Inkbrush and has an auto bomb in case an opponent is nearby to ambush.
One of the baby eastern cottontails from the burrow in my yard. They were scared by the grass mower and ran everywhere, so we temperary brought them indoor until the lawn mowing service was done.
Fortunately, they looked pretty mature and healthy, we put them back right after.
