Looks like someone is trying to steal your partner Keith, what will you do?

Familiar Enemy takes place in a witch academy where young witches are sorted with their familiars. Lance is suppose to be the next great sea witch, but gets sorted with Keith (a flame demon) instead of a traditional siren. They both have to deal with this odd sorting and learn to fight as a team or fall apart.

[I put my own twist on @lunaartgallery ‘s Voltron AU ]

Some things will definitely be the same

Lance who is a sea witch gets paired up with Keith [who is a familiar] who just happens to be a Fire Demon!

They go to a really well known [in the magic world] Magic School.

Allura is the Headmistress with her Familiar Shiro.

Shiro is an Ice familiar just like in @lunaartgallery ‘s AU

But in my version shiro is corrupted by the Galra [Will explain later on]

Hunk- An Earth/Healing Wizard

Paired with Earth/Stone

Pidge- Plant/Herb Wizard

Paired with Plant/Vine Matt

Coran- A wind familiar. His master was Allura’s Father.

Coran stays to protect Allura as Alfor’s last wish.

He is not bound to Allura.

The Sorting Ceremony

The freshmen are called up to a stage where this light blue murky globe is on a stand. The student puts their hand on it, and the orb goes through the student’s mind and such picking the best pick for them. And the familiar is summoned.

Other Characters

To tell is someone is bound to a familiar, they usually have a marking of a color that corresponds to their magic type.

Blue = Water

Light Blue = Ice

Red =Fire

Green = Plants

Browns = Earth

White = Wind Purple = Mind

The Galra.

The Galra are the manifested version of dark magic. Evil demons, not like keith demon. Monstrous. The reason for Alfor’s death, they attacked the school. Alfor used all his magic to kill the ones that attacked. He used a powerful spell he created called Voltron.

The galra aren't people, they are monstrous dark ‘glob’ [ Hard to explain, sorry  :<]

Prince Lotor and Emperor Zarkon

Two dark wizards who hide in the shadows. Wanting the voltron spell so they can control the Galra for themselves. Emperor Zarkon is not a familiar but is not human, he has been corrupted by Galra. And has a familiar called Haggar a Mind/Physic Familiar.

Prince Lotor. A Siren Familiar. And sneaks into the school trying to steal the Voltron spell. He acts as if he is a familiar for a student thanks to Haggar and the other physic familiars altering their memories.

Voltron

A Powerful spell created by Alfor that requires five people and their familiars. The spell combines all of their powers and manifests itself into a large being. Almost like a golem, it has the abilities of all of the people who uses it.

The spell has been locked away and sealed somewhere in the school.

I had fun messing around with the line art for this comic. I’m trying to use these fan-comics as practice and noticed I struggle with dynamic shots a lot. This Au is loosely based off Wadanohara and Little Witch Academia. It follows Lance, in training to become a great sea witch, being sorted with Keith, a fire demon. Together they have to overcome their differences and become a powerful team.

I swear I have a short comic lined up for this Au, about 4 pages long. I have the draft already up on my Patreon. If yah new, this Au is loosely based off Wadanohara and Little Witch Academia. It follows Lance, in training to become a great sea witch, being sorted with Keith, a fire demon. Together they have to overcome their differences and become a powerful team.

Familiar Enemy, that’s the name of the little witch Au I cooked up. It’s loosely based off Wadanohara, and Little Witch Academia. I just really wanted to draw Lance as a witch, and my brain made up a story about it with familiars attached. I would like to doodle some more about it, perhaps include Prince Lotor as well.
