================================ FLOW ON BERNABE ROCK ================================ #FallColorTour2019 . From Middle Prong Fork in Gatlinburg, below the hiking trail. . Sometimes there are those in our group that will name certain elements in the wild. I wasn’t around for the naming of this rock, but I can tell ya it is a pretty cool element / focus of the scene. . I love how the flow of the water extends off the rock and crashes back into the flow to move downstream. The bits of beautiful golden color rest in the canopy of trees meanwhile the Rhododendron greenery line the bank in audience of the flow at center stage, and man what a show it was! . ================================ Smokies on November 2, 2019 ================================ . ================================ AUTUMN BURST ================================ #FALLCOLORTOUR2019 On this year’s tour we focused on water flow along Middle Prong Trail. . We started on the trail before sunrise capturing some beautiful images of flow and golden colors of Autumn. . As we headed back down the trail, Travis found a honey hole and I passed him up as I headed back to the parking lot. While enjoying the morning and conversing with hikers as they passed by, the sun peaked through the tree canopy highlighting the stream. . I decided to close down the aperture to bring focus on the sun bursting through. . I love how the ruby colors are centered and framed by the warm golden yellow leaves. Meanwhile, bits of sunlight dapple the water flow at the bottom of the image. . I get drawn into this image and wonder what lies further upstream, but at the same time, I am stopped with the amazement of the canvas that our creator had painted for me this morning. . ================================ Smokies on November 2, 2019 ================================ . ================================ MORNING MIST ON MIDDLE PRONG ================================ #FALLCOLORTOUR2019 This year we kept it close to home and why not, the Great Smoky Mountains are the perfect location for fall color. Only problem is, TRAFFIC sucks. . Travis Rhoads and I headed to Middle Prong Trail to capture some water flow since the water levels were so abundant. . We woke up well before sunrise and made our way to the trail. The air was brisk with plenty of moisture, the temp was around 28 degrees or so. BRRRRR!!!! . Believe it or not, spite living in the back door of this hidden treasure, it was my first time shooting here. I will return! . As I worked my way up the trail this spot seemed to jump out at me. The mist of the morning air was thick as the red and yellow colors of the Autumn leaves. The flow of water crashing around the large boulders created a scene that seemed to overflow and take center stage of the frame. So much that the fall colors were merely accents in the image. .
