The Devil is real, and he isn't a little red man with horn and a tail.

He can be beautiful, because he´s a fallen angel.

We have all fallen in love with that quirky license plate and yet very few know that it was not the first option of the production. I cannot really remember the original pick as it is lost somewhere in an interview but the 62′s Corvette legendary license plate was not always FALL1N1.

As I’ m currently rewatching the series and based on the fact that Lucifer does not lie but can bend the truth a bit as well as the fact that our little Devil loves his car I wondered about the grammar used in the plate... 

Why Fallin’? Why not Fallen? 

If we take this, partly away from the props department and place it in the show why Lucifer picked Fallin as a Present participle and not in a Past tense?

We can, of course, twist things around and play around with many more tenses but... in this meta perhaps we can acknowledge Lucifer’s belief that his fall never stopped and that even in L.A. he keeps on Falling. 

On a second level, we can go as far as to assume that the plate was also foreshadowing another first. Lucifer was not just the first Angel to Fall from heaven but the first Angel to also Fall in Love...
