How I Hustled Terroriser for 1000 in Human Fall Flat. (Part 1.)
Have these super late fall flat drawings I'm never gonna finish and a doodle from delirious video (ノ´ヮ´)ノ*: ・゚
Humans, they will run into every door they encounter. They will push every button they see. They will grab every object they come across. And, if they have a buddy, they will squeeze the hell out of their body and make them fall. Sounds kinda erotic.
Yeah, it’s christmas (at least it was when I wrote this) and what’s a better way to satisfy your button fingers than getting a friend to ass around with and playing some Human Fall Flat. The game by No Brakes Games was released in 2016 for all PC platforms.
Story: His name is Bob.
Bob is just human. Bob is whatever you want him to be.
Actually yeah, there is a story. Bob the builder is having strange recurring dreams in which he is falling constantly. His dreams are built on his daily experiences and memories. You must help Bob solve the riddles of his dreams.
Gameplay: What can you not do in this game? Seriously, I’m climbing a 90 degree wall upwards and steering a large cruiser!
What Human: Fall Flat presents exactly represents is the handiness of humans.. Or not. You have two hands to control and grab things with. Your camera angle determines where your hands are pointed. With those two handy hands you can lift things, operate levers and steering wheels, climb and drag and push objects surprisingly precisely. Literally, if you have the skills, you can climb a straight wall for an eternity.
This kind of game deserves to be flavoured with some sweet modding and homemade levels. The game itself is too short and includes eight different styled levels, three of which are tutorial levels of sort. The main objective is to find the “emergency exit” in every level. The levels itself vary from construction sites to old medieval castles, there really is a lot of locations to explore, since the game does not set any kind of rules, just free imagination. Although, as I mentioned the game only includes eight levels. Just when it starts to really get interesting (not gonna spoil it) it’s already over..
Rarely I’ve been this woeful seeing the end credits. So yeah.. Please mod this game and make homebrew levels come true!
Graphics: So simple it works. Simply.
Human: Fall Flat is no eye candy. Textures are non-existant and colors are usually very greyish. It looks bland and depressive depending on the person, but it kinda works. Sure, there could be some degree of detail applied here and there, but it’s not really a downside. The characters itself are hilarious, and if you’re playing co-op with a friend I swear you’re going to mess around with each other a long while, jumping on your asses and grabbing each other intensively before actually getting into the game.
I wish I had realized it sooner, but you can actually paint your character inside out.
Soundtrack: A couple of flexible, almost drunk like naked personnel going about messing with facility buildings, how sad…
I like the soundtrack of this game, it’s not much but some enjoyable songs as you progress. The characters itself don’t make any kind of sound, just a sticky footstep when walking.
The first thing I noticed when started playing this was the sad ambience music in the background, it really didn’t quite blend in.
Cinematics: –
Conclusion: 9 out of 10. A really fun game to play with a buddy. Only con is the shortness of this game and not having a steam workshop support from the developers.
But seriously though, if you’re about to pick up Human: Fall Flat, do it with a buddy, makes it so much more worth it. If you’re into crazy physic-based video games with puzzles and total freedom, not mentioning funky characters, grab it on steam.
Purchase the game and watch the trailer here.

Express in Hebrew when things are really bad!
Hebrew speakers and Israelis use this slang expression to say how bad it is.
