This pairing came from me randomly wanting Falke to be an amazing singer and a learning electric guitar player, not knowing Mina plays guitar (at least that's what I've seen from fanart and such)

I learned more about her and in the Archie comics she was marked by Mammoth Mogul and mind controlled at one point after. Wow,,,Falke and Mina have some trauma in common!!!

And Falke is an awkward doofus around her at first because he thinks she's so cool and will never live up to her character!

“How, exactly did you manage to get yourself a black eye?” Neloth asked his wife with a disapproving frown on his face.

Falina only pouted in response. Neloth raised an eyebrow. “Attempting to look cute will not help you in any way. What did you do? Moreover, why did you not heal yourself? We both know you’re capable of it.”

Falina bit her lip. “I would’ve, but... the eye is a tricky part of the body to heal. Especially with the venom it...”

“Venom?!” Neloth practically screamed. He placed his hands on her face to inspect the injury.

“Ow! It’s only netch-venom, nothing life-threathening. One of the beasts hit me in the eye with a tentacle while I was gathering jelly.”

Neloth muttered curses under his breath while he started healing her. Falina winced slightly as yellow light started to evelop her face.

“There. All done. In the future please refrain from doing such dangerous things on your own. We have assistants for that.”

“Yeah, but... I like going out into the ash fields, searching the forests for rare herbs. You know that, my darling.” Falina protested. “Besides, you know you can’t stop me.”

Neloth raised an eyebrow. “I think you are aware I can.”

Falina laughed. “Yes, but... Those talents are better suited to the bedroom.” she said, winking.

Neloth’s face felt like a furnace to him all of a sudden. He took a breath and said: “Anyway, if you must venture out, please take someone along. That would be a lot safer. I would feel better about that.”

Falina grinned. “So, tomorrow you’re taking a walk around the island with me?”

He blinked, when the realisation came in: “You did this on purpose.”

Falina laughed. “Me? Why would I hurt myself? I might’ve been a little less attentive, I was sulking because someone has been wrapped up in his experiments. But I did not ask the netch to hit me in the eye, if that’s what you’re insinuating.” Her smile had evolved into a smug grin.

“Well then, do not worry dear, you shall get your walk.” Neloth said, and feeling bold he continued: “And don’t worry. To make it up, you will have my undivided attention... tonight.” He returned to his workstation. He had not counted on his wife tapping his shoulder. When he turned around, he felt her lips on the tip of his ear.

“I shall be waiting, my love.” Falina whispered. She then walked off toward the bookshelf and took out a book, smirking as she opened it.

Chapter 11 is out tonight!! More steam, more kink, more Modern AU drama, and Aleksander Morozova is definitely dramatic...

Are we really at 86K words for this? Crazy.
