Looking at the tiny person at least 100 yards away, Ray waited for the go ahead. Or any signal that would mean that the target had to be taken down right away. Scoping out the rest of the room, he counted four guys that Ryan and Michael would be able to easily take out, as well as the boss. The only problem was that Ray wasn’t able to count how many people are in the building who will protect the boss. Not like Ray really ever cared who the marks were anymore, too many sleepless nights wasted on thinking about the Johns and the Janes and who they were or could have been. Jack helped with that aspect of it though. Making sure Ray actually slept instead of putting more hours on the Xbox. Though if Jack were here she would be complaining about how the moon isn’t good lighting for Ray’s eyes. Ray prefers roofs at night though. It’s more quiet, no cars or busy people down below. Everyone asleep, or in rare cases stumbling drunkenly out of whatever bar they came from. Settling back into position Ray saw Ryan and Michael moving to leave. Once they both turned their back, Ray saw the boss go for a gun. The guy wasn’t quick enough and Ray didn’t even think twice before pulling the trigger of the gun. Ryan quickly threw a knife into two of the other guy’s necks and Michael was able to knock both of the guys out before racing out the door and tossing a grenade into the room. Ray raced down from the roof and hoped into the achievemoblie before finally breathing again. The drive to the penthouse was silent, as was the ride up to the room. Geoff congratulated them but Ray didn’t even stop to listen. He headed straight up the stairs to roof of the building and laid on the cold concreate. Earbuds firmly in his ears and took his D.S. out of his pocket. Sometime later Gavin came bounding through the door and looked at Ray, who didn’t even notice Gavin. Gavin knew this was one of the bad nights for Ray, when the pressure of the Fake AH Crew grew too much and the thoughts of the people they kill or hurt taunt them. The nightmares come on nights like these and no one can stop them. So Gavin did what he did best, he snuggled up with his X-Ray and watched as Ray played whatever game it was (usually a pokemon) and let X-Ray know he was okay and with the ones he loved who understood.
