i always thought/hoped i'd end up there someday. idk why. i guess that's a normal thing for watchers to think. maybe a bit silly for me. i never interacted with the fandom or the website at all, but i would absolutely have worked out well, the timing and opportunities and finances just never lined up and i never knew which connections to make where.
and despite all of that, they've been so influential on me over the years. on the spot especially and all the hours and long nights spent with that gang, not to mention the minecraft and let's plays. obviously leaning more toward the ah side.
i came onto them a little late, but still about 12 years of watching for me — a whole life and everything changed and developed and grown over time, and i still always hoped to just magically end up there. i'll never have the chance to go to an rtx, so that's a rip.
they have things they didn't get to do too, or won't get to do. it affects everyone in different ways and it's nice hearing those feelings reflected in what they're saying in this stream, because it's definitely a big thing to see this go and wonder how life and the world will go without this now.
even as people move on to other projects. even as life goes on. but it won't be the future of rooster teeth or achievement hunter. it's just more stuff. different stuff.

I can't believe I return to tumblr the same week RoosterTeeth is announced to be shut down...
I've followed RT since RvB season 8 or 9. I can't really remember because it was a while ago. I remember watching RvB episodes on my iPhone in class and to do that back then I had to be a sponsor.
RT and Achievement Hunter is what got me into gaming, anime, manga and many other nerd stuff that define me today. I've started a career, I have a partner who I want to marry, I got a car and I got responsibilities that I couldn't even dream of when I first saw a clip of RvB. Back then I thought it was a prequel to Halo.
Thank you RT for the good, the bad, the horrible, and great content you've made through the years. It's been a great run. I won't forget it anytime soon.

Just going to put this here and say I'm ngl I'm glad for it, cause they can step out from the baggage of a 15 year brand (which lets be real, there's plenty of baggage that is better to leave behind) and can make their own brand instead. A name doesn't make a channel and that's all that's changing really (well also being freed from the AH expected content chains), people make a channel. Michael, Fredo, Joe, and Trevor are all going into this new endeavor; thus I'm perfectly fine not having the AH name on it. I'll be real I already got the feeling that they were moving away from that name anyway, cause of them uploading more to Let'sPlay so this is really just the next stage of that for me (probably one of many reasons I'm not upset over the change). Now they get the chance to be DogBark, not AH that has x,y, or z baggage attached to it; a literal fresh start with them at the helm not having to try to fix nearly decade long fuck ups of the past.
Like I was thrown off a bit by hearing about BK and Jack going to IG from AH when that first was announced, but y'know what IG with them on it is one of the insanely entertaining streams I watch that plays into their interests so damn well. Especially Jack with Minecraft (where BK and Blizz are into it too) and BK feeling comfortable enough to let her thirsty freak (meant in the best way) flag fly high. Also Blizz being Blizz aka "the problem" xD So bring on the change up.
Not to mention love Fooya being the sun in the launch vid xD
tl;dr: I couldn't really care less about what name is on them, so long as its the crew I love to watch. It'd be more of a feels punch if any of them were leaving RT, but that's not the case. Its just the name.
Seeing Joe trying to get through Archdragon Peak is too good xD
